Wir sind Gäste eines Hotels in der Nähe und haben diese Bar für uns entdeckt. Warum an einer kalten und trostlosen Hotelbar sitzen und viel Geld für nichts lassen, wenn man den Madeira Flair direkt vor der Hoteltür hat? Eine wunderschöne Bar, klein aber fein mit einer schönen Terrasse und kleinem Innenbereich. Man sitzt gemütlich zusammen mit den Einheimischen und genießt sein Bier, Poncha, Kaffee und so weiter. Sehr freundliches Personal und einfach eine tolle Location, in der Preis Leistung noch vollkommen in Ordnung sind. Zum Genießen, verweilen und philosophieren. Können wir nur zu 100% weiter empfehlen!

Nice place to start the day. Toastadas and sandwiches, combined with excellent espresso. I recommend the homemade cake, ask which one will be served on that day. Perfect service.

Die beiden sind total freundlich, die selbst gemachten Pastel de Nata waren um Längen besser als die , welche wir in Funchal probiert haben. Toller Madeira Wein und ein kleines aber feines Frühstück. Die Preise sind unschlagbar und viele Locals besuchen die Bar, was den Aufenthalt noch authentischer macht. Rundum klasse, vielen Dank und liebe Grüße aus Deutschland

Please be aware - CASH ONLY!!! We followed reviews to find good coffee, and Bar Rodrigues didn't disappoint. The poncha here is also good! Excellent value away from our hotel. The seating is all outdoor and under cover with a beautiful small garden alongside, perfect for us but if you're hoping for a bar in the sun this isn't the one for you. Most people there were locals (a good sign I think). Very peaceful both times we went, and the staff were very friendly. As the areas are outdoor, there's often people smoking here. We're quite sensitive to this but although not ideal, it wasn't awful as its all quite open...
