Restaurante "A Quinta" — Restaurant in Santa Cruz

We ordered from the "half menu" and received huge plates of food at excellent prices. I had the "meat with mushrooms and chips" which was chunks of steak in a tasty sauce with wine and mushrooms, the chips were fresh and crispy. My friend had omelet with ham, cheese, parsley and onion which was moist and tasty with side salad and chips. We had 1L of beer each (good standard beer) and still only €25! (Inc bread starter). It's good, basic food, exactly what we wanted and excellent value for money. Staff were friendly and attentive....

On the 2nd of October, we arrived to an empty restaurant in a good mood and were looking forward to the food. The waitress, a lady with blond hair and glasses, acted hostile from the beginning. When we asked for pepper and salt, she replied that the food was already salted and seasoned. The final straw was when she accused us of stealing the menu from the table and accused me of having it in my purse! After showing her the purse, she was trying to slip out of it. A beautiful and charming place indeed. We were pleased with the service and the promptness of delivery, which seems to have improved since some of the older reviews. The chicken leg, beef tongue, and salad were all excellent choices.

However, the soups and maracuja dessert didn't quite meet my expectations.

On a brighter note, the garden is absolutely stunning, and the overall atmosphere is incredibly tranquil. It's a place where you can truly feel at one...
