Casa de Pasto Lima — Restaurant in Silves

What a find this small family restaurant was . Behind the indoor market area we were trying to find somewhere for lunch , but due to the rain everywhere was busy inside.... We found the last 2 seats at the C de Pasto Lima ... Very friendly & helpful people, we were the only 2 English there ! ...No convert needed as I had the Sopa legumes ( veg ) , which was more of a broth good taste.... Mains I had the traditional Bitoque, chips , rice and fried egg & my wife had Pork with noisette potatoes in tasty sauce with veg ... they were both great & good size portions.. 2 coffees & 2 soft drinks ... fantastic !!! We highly recommend the Casa de Pasto Lima for snack or lunch with the friendly locals ... Muito...

Staff was great, food was great, wine was great. Why the 3 stars? We waited an hour and a half for our food! I believe in good food takes time, but I could have left this place went to the store, got all the ingredients and made it myself in that time. Not to mention there was 3 tables in the...

Five stars for friendliness and for the down-to-earth honest food. The name translates sort of to “feeding house” and would refer to a simple but good home style cooking. These places are dying out....
