O Escondidinho Restaurant — Restaurant in Tomar

Great lunch for 8,50€. We had wine, olives, delicious warm bread to start. He offered us soup to start (sopa do peixe) but we declined. There were three lunch specials, we chose Pernil (pork leg) in the oven. The main was served with rice and home made fries. The waiter also brought us a green salad to go with our lunch. Dessert was the standard choice of pudim, chocolate mousse, fruit salad or carmel pudding. We chose pudim, although this was the only not-great note, as it tasted like a boxed mix rather than homemade that we find everywhere else.

The food was good, very reasonably priced and the service was excellent. We will happily go...

The kitchen is visible from the room, there where 3 women inside, none was wearing a fase mask, one was mopping the floor while cooking, and the main cook was always handling bare hand the raw steak and touching her mouth.

The man serving us (staff or owner) answer our alert/complain with "so what?", he didn't even apologise or say anything else, we stood...

Dia 23/02 fui jantar a este restaurante pela primeira vez. Não ia com grandes esperanças, pensei que seria só mais um restaurante. Enganei-me. A senhora é incrível, muito simpática e atenciosa. A chefe de cozinha realmente sabe o que faz e como faz. A comida estava absolutamente deliciosa e servem muito bem. A quantidade de comida que colocam no prato é absolutamente maravilhosa. Prato cheio, com sabor. A minha avó não conseguiu comer a sua dose de bifinhos com cogumelos toda e, por isso pediu para levar. Prontamente a senhora se dispôs! Muito preocupada com os clientes, se está tudo bom, se precisam de mais alguma coisa. Sobremesas incríveis também. A relação qualidade-preço é absolutamente incrível. Para 3 pessoas, com TUDO (prato, entradas, bebidas, sobremesas, cafés (e ainda a sopa, se quiséssemos) paguei 36€. Pensei que seriam 60€ ou mais. Estou muito satisfeita e certamente continuarei a ir mais vezes e acredito que vou encomendar muitas vezes...
