Garfo Torto — Restaurant in Vila do Conde

This is one of the best home cooked Portuguese restaurant. Served very nicely cooked local food like the stew seafood rice in a large pot.. it was so delicious as the broth and the seafood cooked over time infused the flavour into the rice. The traditional salted cod fish is very unique here in Porto.. the meat has stronger texture and more flavourful. More intense taste compare to the fresh cod fish! Baked in the oven with the crumbs on top with some greens to make it so delicious. Special made sausage using the wild boar, chicken, rabbit and other animal meat sausage and smoked for days .. kind of traditional here in Porto ! We came here for a light lunch after arriving in portugal.

The waiter was exceptional fantastic an amazing grasp of English French and no doubt other languages.

We started with thier bread offering with olive tapenade lovely fresh and flavourful

We then had the prawns as a sharing starter amazing and full bodied paired wonderfully with a local wine.

Mains we had octopus and sushi all very well done and served effectively.

Finished with the crisp custard devine

Espaço com 3 espaços distintos. Uma sala interior ampla com decoração simples mas de bom gosto, uma 2a sala convertida (esplanada reconvertida em espaço fechado possivelmente e um espaço exterior. O espaço exterior é simples e tem um pequeno parque para a pequenada! Vista sobre o rio e apesar de ser junto à estrada, é bastante pacato. Poderá ser um pouco ventoso à noite.. como toda a zona 😁

A carta oferece vários pratos entre carnes, peixe, sushi e mais alguns. Tb oferece um menu executivo à semana por 9€. Este menu inclui pão, sopa ou uma entrada, prato de peixe ou carne e café ( n estou seguro se café ou sobremesa). A bebida é à parte. Mas não desaponta.

Optamos por um menu executivo e um prato da carta. No menu escolhemos uns bolos de polvo como entrada, tagliatelli de salmão, espadarte e tamboril e café . Td muito bom. Os bolos de polvo estavam top! O segundo prato foi um um bacalhau com crosta de azeitona e broa! Com legumes e batata! Estava muito bom e a dose era generosa!! Rematei com um digestivo, uma das melhores amêndoas amargas com limão q já bebi!! Copo a meio só com gelo e sumo de limão espremido e só dps adicionado o licor na minha presença! Dose generosa e saborosa! Voltava só por este pormenor 👏👏👏

O atendimento foi muito atencioso e irrepreensível!
