VillaCake — Restaurant in Vila do Conde

Been there a few times, and in more than 2 occasions I noticed that there were dogs not only outside but also inside the establishment. I eventually asked if dogs were allowed and we got a positive answer from it. Us being dog lovers we travel and walk around with our dog a lot. We brought our dog one day, and we were immediately stopped at the entrance, mentioning that dogs were not allowed and that we had to go outside (it was raining by the way). We mentioned that we saw dogs inside the establishment in the past weeks and were given the thumbs up to bring our own, but to no avail. The woman mentioned that dogs were never allowed inside and we were escorted outside. I won't be coming to this establishment anymore, if dogs are not allowed then the rules should be applied...

My friend brought me to this town, and I really needed some coffee. We passed by this cute café and decided to go in. The place was beautifully decorated, and the cake display was irresistible.

I got a cappuccino, and my friend ordered something I forgot. We sat in a lovely dining area with a big window facing the garden. Just being there made me happy!

The cappuccino was perfect, with great froth and cocoa powder—the best I've had in Portugal! The cake was almost too pretty to eat and tasted amazing! I couldn’t finish the large slice, but the kind staff allowed us to leave the leftovers and pick them up later.

Pedi umas panquecas de Nutella e framboesa, e um Milkshake de Morango e Framboesa, veio uma única panqueca minúscula, que ocupava metade do prato, e o Milkshake tinha pouco sabor de fruta, só se sentia o sabor do leite. Enquanto comia esta pequeníssima refeição, uma desconhecida (viemos a descobrir que era a CHEFE DO ESTABELECIMENTO) ouviu a nossa conversa e intrometeu-se sem qualquer tipo de respeito e perguntou se queríamos trocar a comida. Para além de nos ter interrompido a meio da nossa PEQUENÍSSIMA refeição não mostrou qualquer tipo de empatia com a opinião do cliente, sendo que mostrou a falta da privacidade neste café. Concluindo, o resto do atendimento não tem qualquer problema nem culpa, a chefe em si é que foi a menos profissional. Não venham aqui comer!

Vou acrescentar mais um comentário depois da resposta à minha crítica que vi.

Se a crítica não fosse verdade não teria afetado a proprietária ao ponto de a mesma dizer que não costuma vir responder mas o veio fazer, e nem me tinha dado ao trabalho de a vir escrever, mas também se a mesma tivesse tido a devida maturidade de tratar os clientes com respeito nem se quer me teria ocorrido de vir aqui dizer nada sobre a comida nem sobre a referida, porque como disse em cima o resto do atendimento foi todo sem qualquer tipo de críticas a fazer. A chefe devia aceitar as críticas e melhorar o seu espaço e a sua atitude, não vir aqui debater com alguém que nunca lhe faltou ao respeito mesmo quando poderia...
