Ryori House — Restaurant in Vila Real

Went out for a nice dinner and ended up having one of the worst experiences I've ever had while dining out. Me and my boyfriend are both vegan and when I called to make a reservation they said that there were vegan options. We get to the restaurant and first thing we saw was that the menu had no specification whatsoever so we couldn't tell apart what we could eat from what we couldn't and when we asked one of the waitresses she acted like she knew what vegan was but ended up point out all the non vegan food instead, acting like she wasn't listening to what we were telling her. After asking another waitress, one that actually listened to us and tried to make our experience a bit less embarrassing than it was already being, they brought us some food with a huge chunk of cream after we very specifically asked for no dairy. Once again the second and best waitress that helped us took it back and made one but this time no cream. The real problem here was the waiting time after we had asked for another set of sushi which took a whole hour to arrive (some other people had arrived a few minutes before and they had full plates after not more than 10 minutes) AND even after all that we got another piece of food that had milk after we had asked the second waitress to, please, try to check if anything had milk or eggs or dairy. It's a buffet style restaurant where the price for a lunch is 8.90€. It includes both chinese style food (starters and wok) and sushi itself. The variety isn't too big for each category though, for example there is no temaki and sweet rolls in the menu. However, the quality of the ingridientes was good, rice wasn't too sweet or too sticky, it was just right, fruits and vegetables were all ripe and fresh. There are some downsides which are a small size of the rolls and expensive drinks (1.5€ for 0.5Lwater bottle). Additionally, the interior lacks coziness, it feels too formal for this type of a restaurant and the bathroom needs more cleaning. Overall, a price to quality ratio is good here so definitely recommend...

Não sei bem o que se passou, não sei se foi por ser feriado, falta de pessoal ou algo assim, só sei que foi vergonhoso. Costumamos ir a este restaurante várias vezes e corre sempre bem, mas hoje não sei, eu tinha de vir comentar para os ajudar a melhorar porque se continuarem como hoje vão perder clientes. Fiz reserva hoje por volta das 14h por chamada, a Sra que me atendeu disse que ficava reservado às 20h no meu nome. Para meu espanto quando chego lá, restaurante cheio apenas com algumas mesas vazias pois eram as que tinham reserva, digo a Sra que tenho reserva e ela diz que não tem reserva nenhuma no meu nome. Senta nos numa mesa mesmo em frente à porta da saída. Pedimos, a comida demorou 1 hora a chegar e mesmo assim não veio toda! Acabamos por não comer tudo o que pedimos pois não veio ! Chegamos a testemunhar uma situação em que os clientes da mesa ao lado foram fumar e avisaram uma das empregadas, enquanto estão a fumar outra empregada de mesa vê que tem gente à espera de mesa e simplesmente tira os copos de vinho dessa mesa e a garrafa de vinho em conjunto SENDO QUE AINDA TINHA BASTANTE VINHO. Inadmissível!!! Após isso quando eles voltaram e perguntaram a mesma empregada o que tinha acontecido aos copos de vinho, ela fez se despercebida como se não soubesse o que aconteceu !!! Péssimo!! Vimos gente à espera de comida por mais de 1h30 !! E eles em vez de fecharem a porta e não aceitarem mais pessoas continuavam a sentar mais gente ou seja nem conseguiam tratar dos que já estavam lá nem dos que estavam a chegar ! Péssima gestão de sala. Mais de 20 e tal mesas e só 2 empregadas? Não chega.
