The Yards at Vendome Mall offers a unique dining experience with its fusion of flavors and an enviable location overlooking picturesque fountains. My recent visit, however, was a mixed experience.
The food was undeniably tasty, showcasing the restaurant's ability to blend diverse culinary influences into delightful dishes. However, I found the portion sizes to be lacking, which left me wanting more given the price point.
Unfortunately, the service did not meet expectations. The eggs in my dish were overcooked, and when I brought this up, the supervisor appeared to argue excessively rather than resolve the issue smoothly, which was disappointing. This encounter was particularly surprising as my first visit to The Yards was quite the opposite—a delightful culinary journey with excellent service.
I’m hopeful that this experience was just an off day for the restaurant, as it has the potential to offer so much more, especially with its outstanding location in Vendome Mall. I look forward to a return visit that recaptures the excellence of my initial experience, enhanced by the beautiful surroundings and creative...
Read moreThis time we were truly disappointed with the food and the service. For breakfast, we ordered The Yard Breakfast - it was very bad. I mentioned for the eggs to be cooked medium well, but they were overcooked and came out completely dry. They were so unappetizing I couldn’t finish the dish. Definitely not worth even a single rial.
We also ordered the Burrata Egg Bagel and later noticed that the bill included an extra 15 riyals for dressing - something we not ordered. The Burrata Zaatar Flatbread was good, just like last time. We also had a latte and a croissant.
At the end of the meal, we told the waitress that we didn’t like The Yard Breakfast at all. She didn’t said anything, didn’t bring a manager, and there was no apology. I was shocked by the lack of response and professionalism.
Overall, I’m very disappointed this time and cannot recommend this...
Read moreWe experience being judge (racism) according to our nationality by one of the server. We are requesting if we can sit in the vacant table in balcony, he immediately refused and told us it is all reserved. But when we ask the filipina that we want to change sit, she told us that it is fine. He is wearing glasses, i dont know his nationality (maybe bengali or indian). He is very attentive in giving orders for the local (qatari) citizens and other nationality but when it comes to us (filipino), it felt different.
Im just hoping that maybe next time we will be treated fairly. Maybe we didnt dressed nicely according to his liking.😒
We enjoyed our stay and food as well. The food was superb. The place is cozy.👍👍👍 still thinking to visit again.
Hoping not to experience the same thing. We can also pay you know.😂😂...
