If there is a minus star I would gladly rate this place with a minus, but unfortunately that's not an option here.
My experience here in Royal Cup Restaurant and Specialty Coffee (even their identity is vague as they don't know whether it's a restaurant or a cafe), anyway, I had the most bad upsetting experience here. When I arrived with my family, I asked them for a table and the attending waiter(female) told me that the inside tables are fully booked then she asked me to check tables availability outside!! I mean this is obviously is your job as a waiter not mine!! So I checked, and yes there was an available table and we have been seated.
We checked the menu and we decided what we want and waited for the waitera to get our order... we waited and waited for alobg time. We called for the waiter and she ignored us. Then we called her again and she pretended that she doesn't hear us. Then we called another waiter and we had an eye contact then he attended to the table next to us!! I mean seriously!!
Then finally, one waiter took our order. We waited and waited and waited for more than half an hour to get our order! It is coffee and sweets! Why they need more than half an hour to prepare coffee?? And when the waiter bring the order she serve it to the table next to us! She doesn't even know which order to which table!? What kind of a service is this!?
We needed some tissues as our table without tissues, so we asked one of the waiter for tissues and rather than taking the tissues one the empty table next to us he went for an eternity to get us some tissues.
And they served our order with missing items. So some of us have what they order and the others are still waiting to get the rest of the order!!
This was really frustrating and annoying. I mean really if you don't have the ability to serve your customers efficiently and effectively, why are you still open!? Nobody wants to suffer to get coffee and sweets! We were supposed to have a pleasant time,but instead we got a disappointing experience and bad service.

Read moreI asked for a triple chocolate cake and a separate pink rose to be delivered. At first, the person texting me back on the order was cordial. Total was QR190. cake- QR155, pink rose- QR15, delivery- QR30. Delivery was two way delivery, as in collect cash from one location and deliver items to another. When the cake arrived, I noticed that the pink rose was made out of icing and I had paid QR15 for that. When I text the number back, the person says that QR190 was a discounted amount, but had not conveniently mentioned this when I made the order. Now the person says, they hadn't charged for writing on cake, extra sauce, suddenly mentioning how the actual prices were higher than what they charged me (but mentioned nothing like that while I placed the order), clearly trying to desperately justify the extra QR15 I gave. The person also mentioned how they "wasted" their time searching for a rose, the petrol they "wasted", being incredibly rude. and hence the extra QR15 was equivalent to the time and petrol they "wasted". I have proof of all the screenshots, that I have sent with the email. But one thing is for sure, the person DID NOT tell me about the "discount" until I called him/her out with the flower. And before I could say anything, this person blocked me. I understand petrol and time was "wasted" but you made a commitment. It is not of my concern if you had struggles on the way since I paid accordingly. And all I merely did was communicate as to how this person did not tell me at all that there was a discount until called him/her out about the flower. Could've handled more gracefully. Edit: I tried to reach out again to the business to have a civil adult conversation, but i am being blocked before i could reply back and being told that Cyber police is involved when I havent even committed a crime. I have the right to write a complaint. I sincerely hope this business would improve on handling complaints from customers. And hope an adult conversation about this can be done in...
Read moreFirst, I asked for a pink flower (15 riyal ) along with the cake. At ordering time, They agreed to give in the order and I was ready to pay extra charges for that, But when it was delivered I found No flower and none of the add on put out properly that was matching with my order. I asked for a reason for why this mistake had happened, And they replied with "Sorry, We couldn't find a single pink rose" instead to cover up the charge they simply added a pink rose icing on the cake. Later on, I asked for refund because 15 riyal just for icing on cake was injustice. For that also they replied "you asked for separate pink rose, we couldn't find and we wasted our time looking for it just for you, no refund". This was a very rude behavior from their side. Second, I had asked for Happy birthday writing on the cake and they took 15 riyal extra charge for that also. No other bakery does that. Third, We had a deal for delivery charge that was 30 riyal, We were ready to pay extra for that too. After everything was done and delivered. They messaged, we gave you discount and you had to pay 50 riyal which they didn't even mention at the first. This is either lack on understanding between employees and team or either cheating. After all that discussion. their employee blocked our number without having a concluding satisfaction rate.
