Unacceptable service!!!!
ZERO stars for food. But not because I tasted bad food. But because I couldn’t even try or order the food in this restaurant since there was no one to take order in an OPEN restaurant!! Sounds crazy right? Here is what happened at this restaurant:
On 28th Aug in the afternoon, we were looking forward to try lunch here and went in after a challenging car park find in the hot sun. When we reached the restaurant:
restaurant is OPEN, but no one was available at the desk or tables. Just a call bell on the entrance desk and a camera watching us.
we pressed the call bell twice and called out verbally as well.
15 minutes was wasted waiting for them! It looked like they didn’t care about customers or their business. We left the restaurant as no one responded or showed up from their stations.
Or worse, they didn’t want to serve us because we felt like people were watching through the camera and chose to ignore us on purpose.
Whatever this was, it was totally disappointing! I was looking forward to trying this restaurant for the first time as I love the cuisine but I left deciding not to eat here...

I've been in Doha a few days now and while I've been eating well, nothing knocked me off my feet until tonight. I stayed in my more ethnically diverse neighborhood for dinner instead of heading to the more ritzy parts of the city and got just what I've been waiting for; a meal that simply blew me away! Starting from the creamy soup appetizer to following that up with coconut fish and a tomato/cilantro salad, some type of savory plantain and tomato dish, fried cabbage and washing it down with fresh squeezed lemonade, I ate more than I should've and still couldn't finish it. Needless to say, I will be back in the morning to try out their breakfast menu. On top of all those accolades, the service and price were phenomenal. If you find yourself in Doha, make sure you stop by Afro Fusion Restaurant in the Najma...
