SALAMATH RESTAURANT - OLD AIRPORT — Restaurant in Doha

As on 21.06.2025, I visited Salamath Restaurant, old airport for dinner, craving for Sri Lankan delicacy. I enquired if the lamb curry was spicy as I was craving for spicy food. I ordered lamb curry and paratha. As I started to eat, I was sure that the lamb curry was a little salty, so I confronted the waiter only to get an unusual response that the curry is cooked in that way. I continued to eat and found that the lamb was semi cooked (partially cooked to raw). Again I confronted the waiter and he politely replaced the dish. This time again I observed that the lamb was semi cooked for which I confronted the owner. To my shock, he very rude suggested that I could take chicken curry instead. I couldn't accept the attitude and decided to leave. Even though, I was not charged for the food, and eventually which does not justify the very disappointing and disgusting behaviour of the owner. In my life span of 5 decades, I have visited numerous restaurants from 5 star hotels to street food, but never felt go disrespected and embarassing. This gentleman is in the service industry and running a restaurant business but has no value for customer service or customer satisfaction. I had a very disappointing experience ordering from Salamat Restaurant. The person who answered the call was not only unprofessional but also quite rude. and struggled to communicate effectively, which made the ordering process frustrating.

What really stood out was the staff's attitude; they shouted at me during the conversation, which is completely unacceptable. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, and this was far from that.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and provides better training for their staff. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to Salamat Restaurant based on...

Ordered 4 lump rice and some sandwiches which they delivered and when we sat to eat one lump rice was missing.

On the bill they had charged for all 4.when we spoke to the shop they said lump rice was over, fine we asked them to return the extra money they had charged. Waited one and half hour and no money was sent. Called again and we offered to be compensated next time. We said we probably order once a month so no. They guy then said OK we will send the money. Now its 3 hours and we are going home from. Work with one of us paying for food which was never delivered.
