I'm going to break down my experience based on the items I ordered, which were a double slider (with both chicken and beef), some garlic fries (with no cedar) and a coke.
Starting with the order itself: I had to figure out it was a self service because I was seated by one of the staff at a small table and then... nothing. Nobody told me anything, I didn't see the order desk at first so only when I stood up to ask for help, I noticed it... really confusing and somewhat frustrating. Moving on to the food.
After a long while, my simple order was done and I started digging in. The fries were not home-cut, were bag fries (frozen) but still really nice. Crispy and ferm and the garlic and parsley toppings were genuine and tasted great. No complaints here, 5/5 for the fries.
And now comes the star of the show... the burger... oh boy... the buns were good but were drenched in butter, even on the outside so I had to use a fork and knife... extremely oily and messy. The chicken shocked me the most because the texture was amazing, but it had literally no taste. It was like I was eating fried dough... no seasoning, no mest flavor, nothing... as bland as it can get. Same thing about the sauce and cedar... a tasteless mess that didn't add anything to the burger. The beef paddy tasted... ok, but was pathetically small and super dry... it reminded me from the ones at McDonald's. The only thing that surprised me was the tomato which was fresh and tasty. For the price and hype of these burgers, versus their actual quality, I give it a 1/5, which along with the fries amount to a total of 3/5.
I was really disappointed when I finished my meal... it looked amazing but the taste was just...
Read moreI seldom leave bad reviews, but looking at the ones posted by others I can’t believe we are reviewing the same place. I went in with my wife and little kid, we ordered some simple items. After waiting for more than an hour, my kid’s pancake was burned black on one side and tasted as you’d be eating raw carbon, while our burgers were also burned on one side. The taste was ok, they look nice but the size is a joke. The atmosphere is nice, but the table was dirty. Luckily we always wipe the table clean due to having our kid with us... After I took the pancake directly to the chef and showed them it was unacceptable, they did make another one on the spot. My face and anger may have played a role here, since I didn’t leave the spot until the bloody pancake was done so I can take it back to my crying kid. Obviously my 5-bite burger was almost cold by the time I returned….. what can I say, at most I’ll go again alone to give them another chance, at some point. The prices are a ripoff though, the food would be worth half...
Read moreFirst, you have to figure out that it’s a self-service restaurant. Especially if you sit outside, because no indications on the table. We had to ask why nobody is coming to get our orders. So 10 minutes already passed.
Then I went in, ordered two simple cheeseburgers and cokes. And I have been told that I can grab cokes from the refrigerator so I did.
Now you have to be patient.
We waited 40 minutes for a simple cheeseburger and fries. Our cokes got boiled in the hot summer night during this endless wait.
There was only one more guy on another table and he was asking for refund while staff were stalling him by telling 5 more minutes.
Ohh, the taste wasn’t good either. The beef seemed and tasted like the ones Metro Market is selling - ready to cook beef patty. That’s it.
If I would stop at Mega Image, buy two beef patties, two burger buns, one tomato, one onion, lettuce, and a pack of sliced cheese, then go back to home, and cook two cheeseburgers, it would probably take around 30 minutes. Quicker and...
