OZI DONER — Restaurant in Bucharest

Visited OZI DONER (sign says MURY DONER) on our way to ACCEPT concert at Quantic Pub in Bucharest.

Me and my 8 y.o. son just got off the bus at Filaret station after a ~9 hr ride. We were hungry, needed a place with realistic prices where we could eat inside quickly and continue our journey, as outside it was -2°C and we had little time to spend.

We got all we wanted and more, its a simple place, we did not expect much from a Doner place initially and had realistic expectations,

Payment method is cash only (normal for such Doner place). Owner carefully listened my bad romanian and found a way to understand what I needed. We ordered 2 small kebabs, 20 RON each asking for filler to be not spicy, owner gave exactly what was asked double-checking the ingredients like onions pepper garlic etc. We laughed when I explained that I basically needed a healthy 'salad doner' ))

When ordering owner had shown the size of small and large doner wraps so we could imagine the size. In my humble opinion the small kebab was of quite normal size.

Interior is as expected from budget Doner - it has roof! :) and you can eat under it, what more do you need ?

There were tables and chairs available for people who wants to eat inside.

Inside is 'semi-inside', its basically a terrace covered for winter period. For us - this worked perfectly.

We got our wraps given to me on glass plates.

Tables were clean, napkins salt etc set.

There was a also a restroom accessible equipped with mandatory expendables and small sink so that you could wash your hands etc.

Food was tasty, both me and my kid liked it very much.

For this kind of budget and realistic expectations from a Doner place - the experience was perfect!

If you are not pretentions, have realistic expectations from Doners and want to take a rest from the road and eat smth good - I cant recommed this place enough, as we actually only got our mood enhanced from the experence.

Owner was polite, listened to our needs and was careful.

Owner even came by and was generous enough to offer a free drink for my boy. This was great as we shared ot with my kid and actually the lemonade hit the spot, we didnt know that we needed it.

We felt grateful and left a tip.

Realistically, I cant be thankful enough for such hospitality and such simple but humble and warm experiences.

We thatked the owner, thank you again dude if you are reading this! We were not expecting much, but got a lot, you made our trip better than it could have been! ;)

I as guest cant guarantee same results as I did, but again me and my sun were very pleased and can surely recommend this place to similarly minded people as we are and will most probably visit this Doner again if we will again go for a trip to Bucharest and need to eat near the station.

Sadly, place doesn't work at night, as we went by on our way back we certainly would eat...
