Coffeemania — Restaurant in Basmanny District

Beautiful place at the historical part of Moscow. Excellent service, delicious food, friendly staff. Almost all of them speak English. We have ordered several dishes and were a bit lack of space, they kindly pushed tables to make us comfortable. Right at the entrance we had been offered to chose the place we like ( Geneva - wake up! This is how it is happening in the civilized world ). We have had a pilmeni ( very tasty ), Greek salad ( delicious tomatoes and cucumbers), Singapore salad which was melting in the mouth and an avocado with shrimps...all was delicious. Their desserts are very light and tasty. You will regret if you will never visit that cosy and...

I'll be brief: service is excellent, food very much up to standards, both in selection and quality, and it's a nice place to sit, rain or shine.

However, one side note: I think there's a manager there who hasn't grasped the concept of managing. He's standing right at the entrance, staring at customers coming in, without greeting, doesn't interact with his staff and seems to be utterly superfluous. Extremely unprofessional and I bet he's not very popular with his staff, who doesn't seem to need him anyway. But this is merely my outside view. Got on my nerves anyway. But...

Another great MANIA here at Pokrovka! I obviously know the one at Bolshaya Nikitskaya intimately well but the Pokrovka location is just as nice, the great large terrace included. I visited for breakfast and dinner and after dinner drinks and it's ALWAYS splendid! That's what makes CM so special to me: the CONSISTENCY in all aspects: in the quality and freshness and of the food, in the professional and friendly service and presentation, and in the warm and clean and cozy environment.
