I visited Meze recently and I absolutely loved Meze Fresh!
As always, here’s everything you need to know before going; dated for Monday 14th July 2025.
📍 Location They recently moved! The new spot is right near Kigali Convention Centre, on KG 550 Streetc just behind Kigali Heights. It’s easy to get there:
By car or motorbike, just head toward KBC and turn in by the Convention Centre. If you’re using Yego or SafeMotos, ask for “Meze Fresh near Convention Centre.” The building is hard to miss, bright green and right on the corner.
🍽️ What’s on the menu Meze Fresh is all about build-your-own Tex-Mex meals. You walk up to the counter and choose exactly what you want.
Here’s what they offer (with prices based on current average):
Burrito: Wrapped in a flour tortilla with your choice of toppings and protein (Check the price list attached in the image ) Quesadilla: Grilled tortilla filled with cheese, chicken, or beef Tacos: Two soft flour tortillas with toppings Meze Salad: Served in a crispy tortilla bowl, this was my personal favorite Extras: Mango salsa, sour cream, or guacamole Chips & Salsa: Great as a side
Drinks They offer a good range: Soft drinks & bottled water (~Rwf 600) Local beers (~Rwf 1,000) Imported drinks like Corona, Leffe (when in stock) Cocktails like sangria and margaritas (best during their Happy Hour: 3–7PM & 9–11PM) Smoothies, vegan options available
What we ordered I had the Meze Salad, fresh veggies, crispy tortilla base, and packed with flavor. My friend got the chicken Quesadilla—loaded and satisfying. The mango salsa is a must-try. It’s sweet, spicy, and ties the whole dish together.
Opening hours Monday to Saturday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM Sunday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Tips Customize everything, just like at Subway. If you’re vegan or vegetarian, they’ve got great options. You can also order via Rush Foods or VubaVuba if you don’t want to go in person.
My Final thoughts Meze Fresh is one of the best casual food spots in Kigali. Portions are generous, ingredients are fresh, and the location is super central. It’s my go-to now when I want something quick but flavorful....

Chips fresh. Airy. Not greasy. Mix a bit of their hot sauce with the pico for good TexMex style salsa Guacamole ain't missing much. Had the "BOGO" quesadilla but it wasn't BOGO .. actually just a discount on medium quesadillas.
Beers and Pop ain't ice box cold just chilled. Bar stool and high tables met our need to watch soccer while dining. Select what you want as you go down the bar then they prepare those items in the back for the quesadilla. Tacos assembled in front of you. No rice or beans come with quesadilla. I paid 2,500 more to get them. I didn't notice seasoning so I opted not to eat any.
Decent taco/burrito bar. More tex mex style than Mexican (sans cilantro). Everyone working understands my English and sincerely worked hard to provide a good time....
