Ishyuka Arts — Attraction in Kigali City

Such a hidden gem in the community. The artists are so talented and extremely welcoming. I met Phillipe and Emmanuel today and they were wise and so super chilled. We chatted for like 30-ish minutes. They were awesome.

I’m definitely not an art buff. I was hoping I would get to see more sculptural work, maybe even beadwork, I could have been into that.

However, there is one artist’s work I was taken by. I didn’t get his name but his work had this absolutely drawing feel to it. He wasn’t there to explain but his work was rooted in the movement of people. I really enjoyed seeing his work. I just wish he was there so he could teach me what inspired him.

We enjoyed our time at beautiful Ivuka Arts. It's actually advertised as NP Arts Center. Although it is quite small, it features many artists with a description of each.
