Read moreA fine dining experience and authentic Indian cuisine, today I’ll be talking about zafran, an Indian restaurant.
At the entrance you’ll be greeted by a statue of an elephant, which is a neat thing to add and definitely adds a flair to the appearance of the entrance, you can choose between sitting indoors where you have good options as well. I really loved the ambience of this place, the whole place is well lit and well designed, it’s a unique take as it’s a combination of an oriental and modern looking aesthetic, nothing feels out of place though. It all falls beautifully in to one package we know as zafran turki .
The service was really good, thanks to Mr.Mahesh Kumar , the manager was great checked on us while we were having our food. They really care about customer feedback and it’s very reassuring to know that they care about what the customers think. The waiter Mahesh were attentive and explained all our dishes as soon as they were served and were super polite.
We were served with chicken Tikka masala (Crispy fried pakora ), Ghosht nali Biryanis Daal Tadka (Yellow Lentil), Lucknavi Subzi, Biryani (Vegetable Biryani), Cucumber Raita (Cucumber Yoghurt), Butter Nan (Butter Bread) & Garlic Nan (Garlic Bread)(Butter Chicken) and green Salad. All of these dishes were excellent, I loved all of them except the Ghosht lamb chops chicken Kaffir Tikka if you’re someone like me who doesn’t prefer spicy food at all I’d recommend you to steer clear of that specific dish. The rest of the dishes were amazing, especially the Butter Chicken. I loved it so much I placed an extra order of it so I could take it home!
The drinks that were served to us were the Lychee Coco, Thandai, lemon mint si , Mango Lassi and Fresh Orange Juice. My absolute favourite out of all these would have to be the Pudina Si Sharbat, just a taste of that fresh lemon and mint made me feel refreshed, the fresh orange juice was as fresh as can be and my family loved the Mango Lassi as well, the Lychee Coco was unusual for us cause we’ve never tried anything similar to that before, but the combination of cococut and Lychees might be appealing to a lot of people.
And finally for our desert we were served with Gulab Jamun. The Gulab Jamun itself was topped with a scoop of Kulfi Ice Cream, and I know a lot of people love kulfi! I’m not a big fan of Gulab Jamun. I’m pretty sure a lot of people can name sweets gulab...
Read moreIt is the second time I've been to Zafran Indian Bistro and by the time we already ordered their food twice more in my office. we never had any complaint about the taste of the food in fact I must say the food was awesome. all of my colleagues and friends like the taste of the food. anything they offered are really very tasty. we always said that the quantity of food is a bit less compared to the price which is fine as they are providing the best quality food. however the experience always differs from home delivery to make it in the restaurant and the Ambience of the restaurant was really very nice it was very well decorated. they have some Bollywood theme. we ordered some starter which was really nice they serve a Kebab Platter which is exceptional and they also had some starter for vegetarians which is also very nice. we like the Aloo Tikka and the Chutneys they serve with Papad and other food are really very different and very tasty. they also serve some drinks which we really liked. I ordered some Ginger drink which was very refreshing, my friends ordered Kashmir's Dew which was also very different with Strawberry flavour and very tasty. also they have Jal jeera which is also very refreshing after the food or with the food. now for the main course we always like their speciality Dal which is the Dal Zafrani which we really like always. it's our favourite being a non-vegetarian or vegetarian and other menus like laal maas, Butter Chicken and Gost Nihari are all very beautifully made. they provide complimentary bread if you are in the restaurant and the breads are very nice and you will enjoy with the gravies. Only thing we could not like is the Mango Kulfi. It was hard like a rock and Cold like North Pole but hardly eanjoyable.
staff are very polite and very friendly very courteous and our overall experience was very nice. they also provided us 20% discount for a membership with the group Shukran which is also helped us reduce the bill by some margin. thanks Zafran I'll be...
