A Flavor Fiesta at Guaka!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Guaka , and it was an absolute delight for my taste buds! From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. The ambiance was inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive.
Let's talk about the food ā oh, the food! The Mexican Fries were an absolute revelation. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice. They were like a fiesta in my mouth! šš¶ļø
The Taquito was another winner. Bursting with flavor, the filling was savory and satisfying. The tortilla was crispy without being too greasy, making it a delightful handheld treat. š®āØ
And now, let's talk about the star of the show ā the Amazing Desert named "De Toast." It's like a slice of heaven on a plate! The combination of flavors and textures was mind-blowing. The crispy toast, the creamy indulgence, and the drizzle of sweetness all worked together in perfect harmony. Every bite was pure bliss. ššØš®
Overall, Guaka Mexican Restaurant has won my heart and my taste buds. If you're a food lover and an adventurous eater, you simply cannot miss the Mexican Fries, Taquito, and the delectable "De Toast" dessert. Your taste buds will thank you! šš®š
I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu. Kudos to the Guaka team for creating such a memorable dining...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreItās always great to see morequality Mexican eateries opening up across the country, and here in Jeddah, Guaca is a welcome addition.
The space strikes a balance between modern and casual, with a touch of polish. A nice detail is how the staff greet you with a warm āholaā on arrival. Indeed, the service was casual and very welcoming our server was so polite and showed care in perfming his job.
The menu is streamlined, but the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. The rice bowl was a highlight, especially the chicken version, with its well-seasoned rice and generous toppings. The birria nachos were hearty and nicely presented, complete with fresh jalapeƱos instead of the usual pickled kindāsomething we really appreciated. The birria itself was juicy and enjoyable, though not the most flavorful Iāve had.
The chicken tacos were delicious, using the same grilled chicken from the rice bowl, while the grilled shrimp tacos stood out with their seasoning, a touch of beetroot, and a sauce that tied it all together beautifully. The guacamole was fresh and tasty, though a bit too mashed for my liking.
A newer addition, the soft tuna tostada, was good but felt more like a tuna mix paste over tortilla chips than a standout dish. I think it would shine more if made with diced fresh tuna (as a tartar or slightly grilled) and a pico de gallo-style topping...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been waiting for this place to open for a few months . Itās on point in everything when it comes to layout, setup , Decor , branding and a very well trained and friendly staff . Itās done professionally and there is a lot of attention to detail . But at the end, we are here for the food. The rice bowl was excellent . The quesadillas are also very good. The negatives - Mexican fries are soggy and oily . Avoid them . The guacamole needs more seasoning definitely salt and maybe garlic and lemon . The taco sauce on the chicken is too spicy so order it on the side . The nachos are too thick . The main problem is there are two choices for meat and they are on everything . The taste of the meat is Arabic - either there is sumac where it shouldāve been paprika or cumin/ coriander . There is a strong Arabic oriental flavor to the meats which isnāt Mexican . Itās new so thereās opportunity for improvement . Other than that , itās heading in a very nice direction and hope they add choices for meat and fix the meat marinade and change those fries . Good luck ! Updating , I keep passing by and the place is closed . What are the...
