Papaya — Restaurant in Makkah Region

This restaurant belongs to the same company as Aroma Cafe. Although, I chose to come here because of the location convenience. Because Aroma Cafe is just far. I thought I'd have the same food just at a different theme and a different location. I had the chili cheese fries and the Alfredo pasta. The chili cheese fries were too sweet, they had put too much chili in it. Unlike Aroma Cafe where the fries are a combination of a good balance between the cheese, fries, chili and sour cream. The Alfredo pasta was a bit bland. Overall, the food was okay. Not that great.

However, I gave the rating as 3 stars because of a whole different reason. The day I was there, I was in the singles section. The family section had a table that were celebrating. The restaurant would play very loud music on both sections. The singles and the family section. Thing is, they would do this repeatedly. Not just once or twice, it almost went on my entire time there. They would stop for 5 minutes and there they go at it again. I just don't understand why does it have to be that loud, and also be played on the singles section where THERE IS NO TABLE THAT CELEBRATING AS WELL! It was extremely agitating to go through with a headache. And when I asked one of the staff, they simply replied; "It will go all night long, it won't stop." I mean seriously? There was no reason to have to force other customers on the other side of the restaurant listen to loud music whilst dining.

Wow wow wow what an enchanting mesmerising beautiful place with excellent customer service and the most delicious cuisine...My journey here started a week ago when I called Ms.Nahed to make reservations and I received a very friendly professional smart telephonic reception from this incredible young lady...Maashalla 😀 When I called to say I would be late she reassured me and called me once more before I got to the restaurant...It was due to her excellent customer service that I was able to secure a beautiful gorgeous table at this stunning restaurant...Thank You so much Ms Nahed ...She also received us warmly as we entered this enchanting place...We also received excellent customer service from our host Mr Mohammed who brought us the menu on the IPAD and recommended the most symptoms delicious meals...Wow wow wow 😋 This Gentleman was so amazing and helpful and professional..Thank You so much Sir ...Our servers Riaz and Prakas and the other staff around us served us absolutely 💯 amazingly and catered to our every need...In fact all the staff on duty were warm ,friendly and approachable...Thank You All sooo much 😀 The chillie fish, Indonesian Mix platter ,Grilled Meats Kebab platters and all the beautiful fruit juices and the Dutch Apple cheesecake were beautifully presented, delicious and refreshing and stunning 😍 😀 We enjoyed every minute of our stay here amongst beautiful stunning nature 😀 😊 ❤️ We truly appreciate your warm and hospitality...Thank You All sooo much ...May Allah open many more doors to your...

Lunch after Jumaah.

This place has a very nice and relaxing atmosphere, the staff are friendly and the food is delicious.

To avoid making this review an article I will only focus on what needs improvement.

-The seafood platter was a bit oily and I would've hoped for more fried shrimp.

-The price for sodas (14 S.R.) with no re-fills is an overkill. (Note: We got the soda cans so I assumed there wouldn't be refills. If there is, don't mind this point.)

All the other dishes were very delicious: Crispy chicken sandwich, Philly Steak and cheese sandwich, Tagliatelle Alfredo, chilli cheese fries.

As for the dessert we got the red velvet cake and the dutch apple caramel cake. The red velvet was good but the apple cake was exceptional.

Two more points I would like to speak on before ending this review:

1- there was an extremely annoying fly that kept on bothering us. I didn't notice any other customers facing any issues with flies. And the place, dishes, utensils were all clean. So I won't take it into account while scoring.

2- the seats are comfortable and nice. But when exiting the restaurant I noticed my clothes were stained by the chair's arms. (I'm a BIG guy, so you won't face this issue most probably.)

That is all, good food, good atmosphere, very good service, clean and just an overall nice place to get lunch/dinner with...
