In short its One of the WORST restaurants ive been to okay. (TL;DR at bottom)
Few things you should know before visiting
if you do not speak arabic youll have problems ordering because the waiters do not know english service is unbearably slow, you WILL be served something cold the waiters are incompetent (wallahi borderline useless) the cleaners are more useful than these guys and are probably more capable of being a waiter compared to them
Now what i ordered was a nagil (fried) and shrimp (breaded and fried) white rice and brown rice, very simple order, 2 rice and 2 fish thats it
We go to the first floor since the ground floor is for single people only (family is 1st and 2nd floor)
We wanted a table close to the window to basically have a view to look at (image provided for no reason) there was a table empty but it had food leftover (plates and food all scattered across the table) and it wasnt cleaned (it was probably there for half an hour since the place started to smell) after telling the waiters and the manager to clean it up multiple times, they sent someone to clean it 20 mins later, once that was done we ask for an english menu, he provides an arabic one twice, we later gave up and just google translated pages that seemed to have appetizers and main courses, after that we asked the waiter to take our order, they dont even know what "one" and "two" mean, how are you running a restaurant where they dont know basic english, fine we order in arabic and get everything sorted out, then we waited 40 mins till our food arrived
Both the rice were served cold, the shrimp that we ordered was also cold, the only thing that was served hot was the fish, thats literally it, the stuff were fried in old oil because it gave off a bad after taste, as for the rice we asked them to give us proper hot rice, they probably just microwaved it because it was just awful, as a piece of advise if you do visit this restaurant, please please please bring your own tissues and wet wipes and use them when using the utensils or the salt shakers and stuff because they are disgusting, like the olive oil bottle was just sticky and greasy, that basically killed my whole mood of the place and to be honest, i would rather spray perfume on my testicles rather than eat at this place again (wouldnt bother eating in general)
To long didnt read: waiters dont speak anything except arabic service is super slow food will be often served cold prices are high compared to the service and food you get old oil may be used to fry you meal (shrimp fish etc) food is below average even if you...
Read moreOne of the most famous and best fish restaurants in Jeddah, prices tend a little high, but reasonable and better than other restaurants very expensive and with the same quality of food, sessions are acceptable but can be better, the treatment of the workers responsible for providing food is excellent, but the workers responsible for testing the fish in the role The lower one feels that you are on the street scarcely eating, the pinnacle of bad manners and galafas, The organization may be one of the worst things that I have seen in my life. First, you reserve a table in the upper floor. The son refuses to take your request before you choose the fish in the lower floor, and then you must go down to the first floor and enter the crowd of testing the fish from the refrigerator. There is no queue, and they are not sad. Screaming, scrambling and quarrels, about 40 people yelling at one or two employees, who in turn every five minutes leaves the accumulated crowd and enters the kitchen and then returns and does not know where the role has reached, he hears only his voice louder, the height of chaos I have not seen in my life, their eating is excellent and distinct, but What is the benefit of excellent food, if it is necessary to enter a battle in order...
Read moreThe restaurant is central, and if it weren't for the misty windows you'd see the fountain, as listed in other reviews. The place was absolutely rammed, which is a good sign, and mostly with locals, which is another good sign. They have a "bachelors" section downstairs (i.e. men's only) which is near the kitchen and smoky with delicious fish being cooked, and an upstairs for families, where we had to go. Separate stalls make this pretty comfortable in Covid times. All staff wear masks, etc. They only have one menu in English, which i had to hunt for all over the restaurant, and the staff doesn't really speak any, so we ordered by pointing to what we wanted and finding it in the Arabic menu (which is fine, but not ideal). The reason this isn't rated higher despite all that is the food. I found it to be mediocre and not good value for money. The mix seafood platter was smallish, and tasted bland, despite the hefty price tag. The shrimp soup (they brought me the wrong one, as I'd ordered fish soup, but i didn't argue) was fine but nothing special. And at the end, they slapped the VAT on top - standard practice in KSA now i suppose. Overall, i can't say it was what i expected based on...
