My husband & I are in the middle of our stay here in the Intercontinental Hotel Jeddah, on a family reunion & Umrah. I thoroughly recommend the stay if you are looking to come here for a few days. Our room is very clean, very impressive, & it overlooks the Red Sea with King Fahd Fountain (the world tallest fountain) in the foreground. The staff at the Intercontinental Hotel are the warmest, friendliness people my husband & I have had the pleasure to meet. They certainly made us feel so welcomed after a long trip from Australia. We were greeted byTabrej Khan, with the happiest smile I have seen, & was very helpful and professional with all his dealings with us. Maali Trablsi, a young professional women also so helpful, so charming & showed so much kindness with all her dealing with us. She has the happiest smile as she greets us. Hassan Sharawi is very friendly, happy professional with a wealth of knowledge. I highly recommend staying here at the Intercontinental Hotel Jeddah. Come, stay and meet the staff - you’ll also speak highly of this Hotel & of these staff members & other staff. Enjoy!

في البدايه تقييمي على الغرف والأجنحة فقط وليس كامل الفندق. واللي باقوله ينعكس على غرف الاجنحه والله كلامي خاصة للعوايل اللي جايين للفندق ومتوقعين انه 5 نجوم يجب معرفة كلامي واخذه بعين الاعتبار عشان ما تتعكر وتخرب سفرتكم بسبب السكن في هذا الفندق. انا حجزت على تطبيق المسافر (مع الاسف طبعاً) غرفة كلاسيكيه عاديه (كون الفندق كلاسيكي) ويوم وصلت عندهم قالوا لي ان حجزك غرفة وصاله وليس غرفة عاديه والحجز من المسافر وصلنا على انه غرفة وصاله في مبنى الكورنيش ( الاجنحه يملكها العامودي - حسب ما قالوا لي الاستقبال). وريتهم الحجز انه غرفة كلاسيكيه عاديه والاستقبال تواصلوا مع قسم الحجوزات تبع الفندق وقالوا للاستقبال ان العميل وصلنا حجزه غرفة وصاله وليس غرفة عاديه. (طبعاً الفندق مملوك لاكثر من شخص والخدمات مقدمه من اكثر من جهه في نفس الفندق😄). هنا تبدا المسخره اللي شفتها من فندق يعتبر من اشهر الفنادق بالعالم 😄 قلت دام معي عايله خلاص ابغى اروح لغرفة اكبر ويمكن التطبيق او الفندق حنوا علي بحكم معي اطفال بالحجز وسووا لي ترقيه 😂 يوم وصلت الغرفة لقيت نفسي في اقدم واقل مستوى من الفنادق اللي موجوده في جده. كلمت المسافر وقلت له تواصل مع الفندق وعلمهم ان ما ابغى الجناح هذا وابغى زي ما حجزت غرفة عاديه كلاسيكيه. وتواصلوا معهم وارجعوا كلموني وقالوا لي روح الاستقبال وهم راح يضبطون امورك. رحت وقالوا لي ادفع فرق (اذا تبي تاخذ غرفة عاديه وليس جناح 😂😂) هنا عرفت ان الموضوع في لف ودوران كيف غرفة وصاله اقل من غرفه عاديه!!! المهم وصلت للاستقبال ورفضوا تغيير الغرفه الا بدفع مبلغ اضافي قرابه 500 ريال لمده ليلتين. وكعاده تطبيق المسافر لا حس ولا خبر بس كلام واحنا كلمناهم وهم كلمونا وتطلع من الموضوع انت المتضرر. الحين دور الجناح 😂: طبعا الجناح متهالك (وغير امن وغير نظيف) خصوصا اللي معه اطفال. ترى اعني هذا الكلام هذا بكل كلمه راح احط صور عشان التوضيح وتعرف وين انت راح تحجز حاجز وتشوف اذا عجبك المكان وناسبك. طبعاً ان عارف ان الناس اذواق والكل يجي فنادق على حسب استطاعته ولكن هذا الفندق مقيم انه 5 نجوم!! والأجنحة لا تمت لخمس نجوم بأي صله. واخيرا عشان تعرف خلاصة الكلام. اذا حاب تسكن في هذا الفندق، لا تحجز في الاجنحه نهائيا لانك راح تاكل مقلب يحبه قلبك مقابل السعر اللي بتدفعه 😂😂👌🏻 الاستقبال جدا محترمين وشباب ودهم يساعدون لكن ما بيدهم شي غير التعليمات اللي وصلتهم. وانصحك ابعد عن mini bar حقهم لان الاسعار ما شفتها حتى في اوروبا وامريكا💵💵. This hotel is a disgrace to the intercontinental brand. You walk into the lobby and it looks great but the minute you step into the hallways where the rooms are I’m shocked by the awful pungent smells that they try to hide with a mix of incense and pesticides that made my allergies act up. The doors to the rooms are tiny it feels like prison cells - not to mention ugly and old. Then you walk into the tiniest room ever that is definitely not worth it’s price to find stain on the bed sheets, old carpets that are smelly and very old bathroom. Everything in this hotel is screaming in desperation to be changed/ renewed. Please reconsider upgrading this hotel because it’s a huge disappointment. Will never return.

A perfect blend of professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality — with excellent dining, comfortable rooms, and thoughtful service, the Intercontinental Hotel Jeddah makes every stay unforgettable, whether for individuals or groups.

From the moment we began planning our group booking at the Intercontinental Hotel Jeddah, we knew we were in excellent hands. Special thanks go to Tofayel, who managed every detail with remarkable professionalism and flexibility to the group’s needs, ensuring that our group stay was organized to perfection. He was always there for us — approachable, patient, and open to any last-minute changes in the arrival list. His calm, solution-oriented approach made everything run smoothly, and his dedication gave us complete confidence that we were in the best hands.

Upon arrival, Atif greeted us with such warmth that everyone instantly felt welcomed and appreciated, setting the perfect tone for our stay. Throughout the entire visit, Atif was our point of contact — available for us 24/7, answering any questions, resolving requests immediately, and always with a smile. He truly went above and beyond, making sure every single member of our group felt cared for. His personal commitment to our comfort made a huge difference and will not be forgotten.

The culinary experiences were equally impressive. The buffet restaurant offered a wide and diverse selection of dishes, catering to every taste, while the Spears restaurant was an absolute highlight — a must-try for any guest. The quality of the meat and level of service were exceptional, making every meal memorable.

The rooms were not only spacious and comfortable but also filled with thoughtful personal touches — handwritten notes, roses, and snacks that made each guest feel like they were at home. A special thank you goes to the housekeeping team, especially Shahadat, Jeffery, and Sameer, whose attention to detail, care, and friendliness ensured our rooms were always immaculate and welcoming. Their work truly elevated the stay, making us feel valued and well looked after.

Evenings were beautifully spent at the shisha bar by the pool, a relaxing and elegant spot to unwind after a full day. The quality of the shisha was outstanding, and the atmosphere by the pool made it all the more enjoyable.

What truly stood out was the way the hotel team invested time to connect with us as a group. They didn’t just manage our stay — they created bonds, shared stories, and even joined us for a wonderful dinner. This level of personal engagement from the staff and management went far beyond standard hospitality; it was genuine care and warmth that made our experience unforgettable.

Overall, the Intercontinental Hotel Jeddah delivered excellence in every way — from organization, service, and dining, to ambiance and hospitality. The team here exemplifies incredible service with a personal touch. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and look forward to returning soon.

My recent stay at the InterContinental Jeddah was nothing short of a disaster. With the high price tag associated with this hotel, I expected a much better experience, but unfortunately, it fell far short of my expectations. I would recommend seeking out more budget-friendly accommodations instead.

To begin, my family and I arrived at the hotel around 8 PM, exhausted after a long journey, with one of my children asleep in a stroller. It took approximately 45 minutes to check us into a room. As a Platinum Elite member of the IHG group, I was informed that I had received an upgrade. However, after a lengthy discussion regarding my lounge access, it was finally acknowledged that I was indeed entitled to it.

Upon entering the upgraded room, I was shocked. The space was incredibly small, with a bed that dominated the room. The furniture was covered in grime and dust, the bathroom fixtures were broken, and there was a pervasive smell of mold. Additionally, the supposed balcony was barely large enough for one person and offered a stunning view of a concrete wall. To add insult to injury, there was only one towel in the room, and the air conditioning was not functioning—an absolute necessity in Jeddah's 38-degree heat.

I called the staff regarding an extra bed, but they struggled to find a suitable place for it. Options included placing the bed in the corridor or removing existing furniture—neither of which was acceptable, especially as we had no space to open our luggage.

Frustrated, I requested to change rooms, but the staff insisted that the current room was an upgrade, which I found bewildering. After waiting in the room for another 45 minutes, I decided to go to the reception to inquire about the room change, as my son was sleeping in the stroller and we were all exhausted. The manager on duty eventually showed us another room, but to my dismay, it was occupied.

After further delays, we were finally shown to a different room, which was slightly larger with two single beds but came with its own set of issues. The air conditioning still wasn’t working. Although staff attempted to assist, they ultimately informed us that there was nothing they could do. The balcony lock was broken, requiring us to barricade it with furniture to prevent our children from accessing it. The bathroom cleanliness was subpar, and we were provided with an inadequate number of towels. Comfort was severely lacking, and at 4 AM, we were disturbed by loud noises in the corridor coming from other guests.

As for the lounge access, I had to advocate for myself to gain entry, as the staff were initially reluctant to acknowledge my lounge pass. The reception team was unhelpful throughout our stay, making it a relief that we were only there for two nights.

In conclusion, I would not recommend the InterContinental Jeddah. My experience was disappointing, and I will certainly not...

I made this reservation for my two daughters and their friends. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet the standards I have come to expect from the InterContinental brand.

Check-in Experience

Upon arrival, the front desk staff did not offer a warm welcome or acknowledge our IHG Gold Elite status (Member #: 561086170), which has consistently been recognized at other IHG properties. Although my daughters presented their Saudi IDs and reservation details, the staff insisted on obtaining my personal ID and contacted me directly. While I complied and sent a copy, the situation felt unnecessarily rigid and unwelcoming, especially considering my history as a frequent guest — particularly at the Al Hofuf InterContinental.

Room Condition

The rooms were disappointing. The paint and furniture were noticeably worn, and there was an unpleasant odor. The condition did not reflect the quality or ambiance expected from a property under the InterContinental name.

Staff Conduct

A notable concern was the behavior of the doorman, Saber, who was unfriendly and unhelpful. When my daughter asked for assistance with her belongings from a Jahez delivery driver, he rudely refused. Additionally, a front desk staff member named Anas responded unprofessionally when she politely requested a late checkout — even offering to pay for it. His dismissive attitude was unacceptable and not in line with the expected hospitality standards.

Incident Handling

One of the guests accidentally left her bag in the lobby. Instead of first attempting to contact the registered guests or handling the matter with discretion, the hotel escalated the situation by immediately contacting the police. Once the bag was identified and the reception informed, their response was indifferent. The guests were told to resolve the issue themselves with the authorities. This created unnecessary stress and reflected poorly on the hotel’s crisis management and guest care.

Facilities & Location

Location: Excellent — conveniently located near the Corniche and key attractions in Jeddah.

Lobby: Acceptable, though showing visible signs of wear.

Exterior: The building’s paint and general upkeep require attention.

Final Thoughts

Overall, our stay at InterContinental Jeddah was disappointing. Poor front desk service, outdated room conditions, and unprofessional staff conduct fell far below the InterContinental standard. I strongly recommend the hotel review and enhance staff training in customer service and hospitality.
