Review of Caffé Aroma – Jeddah

Caffé Aroma, nestled in the heart of Jeddah, stands as one of the city’s oldest and most iconic cafes, offering a legacy of warm hospitality and inviting charm. The 10/10 ambiance is truly a highlight, with its cozy setting and tasteful decor that creates an atmosphere perfect for casual gatherings or intimate conversations. The friendly staff make you feel welcomed from the moment you step in, adding to the overall appeal of the place.

However, while the ambiance is outstanding, the food doesn’t quite match the same level of excellence. The portion sizes are generous—two main courses can easily satisfy three people—which is a definite plus. Unfortunately, the quality of the dishes is rather average. For a venue with such a historic reputation, I expected more in terms of flavor and creativity.

Another notable downside is the long waiting time for meals. In Jeddah, many top-tier restaurants offset this by offering complimentary bread or salads, enhancing the guest experience. Caffé Aroma could certainly benefit from adopting this practice, particularly given its pricing, which leans on the higher side.

In summary, while Caffé Aroma shines with its exceptional ambiance and generous portions, the taste and overall quality of the food could be improved. It’s a great spot for soaking in a nostalgic atmosphere, but with so many fantastic dining options in Jeddah, it falls short of becoming a...

Review: Caffee Aroma – A Classic That Still Holds Charm

Caffee Aroma has been one of Jeddah’s iconic dining spots for over 20 years, and it still carries the charm of nostalgia. Despite being overcrowded during our visit, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated quickly.

We went with our usual favorites. The chili cheese fries were absolutely delicious—just as they’ve always been. This dish continues to be a standout. The fettuccine was tasty, though not quite as rich as we remembered, and the portion of chicken was noticeably smaller.

For dessert, we had the Banana Party—a true banana heaven for those who love bananas. It’s a must-try, served warm with vanilla ice cream that perfectly complements the dish. A sweet, comforting way to end the meal.

Service was a bit on the slow side; we had to ask twice for a couple of things. Still, it was acceptable overall. The biggest letdown was the interior—the furniture and ambiance haven’t changed in years, and the place could really benefit from an update.

All in all, it was a good experience. Caffee Aroma might be due for some upgrades, but its familiar flavors and warm memories make it a place we keep coming back to. Aroma...

I came around 6:30pm on a Thursday. When we sat in our table, there was no menu barcode, nobody cared to attend to us or take our order when we finally one of the waiters tossed the barcode to us. For 2 times, waiters kept coming by our table to give us an order we didn't pick! There was clearly a disorientation going on that day. I could see the waiters giving wrong orders to other tables. It was a mess!!

I asked for plain aroma fries with cheese suace at the side. CHEESE SAUCE AT THE SIDE! the order came. They shredded cheddar cheese and served it to us! I kept saying i asked for CHEESE SAUCE! Why would you give me shredded cheese??

They said they'd melt it.

Things went on ok, the food as usual good no complaints about the food.

But the service at peak times was so bad. When the crowd started to be less, the waitres became more focused. They kept asking if everything was ok with us. The food only was worth it.

I asked for takeaway but they didn't give it to us. Probably forgot with the busy work.

Would not come there...

This restaurant boasts a stunning 10/10 ambiance that instantly makes you feel welcomed by the friendly staff. The atmosphere alone offers a unique experience, paired with pleasant service that sets a positive tone for your visit. However, when it comes to the food, I must be honest—it’s just okay. The portion sizes are generous, with two main courses easily feeding three people, but the quality doesn't quite live up to the glowing reviews. One drawback I noticed was the long waiting time for food, which could be improved. Some top-tier restaurants in town make up for the wait by offering complimentary salads or bread, adding a nice touch to the experience. I wish this place did the same, especially considering the pricing. Overall, while the ambiance and portion sizes deserve applause, the taste and quality of the food leave room for improvement. In a city like Jeddah with so many great dining options, this restaurant falls a bit short of my personal favorites.
