This restaurant has Iraqi food, but also Iraqi way of business organisation in the worst it appearance when hundred people moving around duplicating and triplicating the duties of each other... Although we came for early dinner, quater to 6pm, and it was almost empty, they failed to serve us in any reasonable time, they said musgouf fish will take 45 minutes to make, in reality it took them 65 min to bring, because last 20min it was off the fire but not served in spite of our requests 3 times. Anything you ask the waiter comes to another waiter, when he would forget it, when after remind it would come to the "manager" (its same useless person but wearing suit), he would give an instruction to someone else who will do it once he becomes free inshaala. I asked for musgouf with smaller fish, they said it was only 3-3.5kg minimum, I agreed though it was only 3 of us, but they made it 4.3kg. Apart of fish I was odering cold mezze and the "manager" taking the order offered "dolma", I agreed thinking its cold appetizer, but 1hr+ later they brought another hot dish as dolma. We tried to decline it when they brought, they rejected, we had to pay for it. And "manager" have included it in order realising even fish would be more then enough for 3 of us, they just cheating oeople for money... At the end we asked for tea, the order came through their usual way of few useless peole and after 10-15 min of waiting we left this terrible place puttig up with our water. I was in Samad restaurant in Dubai many times, its twice cheaper and...
Read moreWonderful Iraqi restaurant with lovely hospitality and delicious food. It starts off with a complementary soup and bread, which was delicious. We then ordered the chef’s special salad and some hummus and Mtabbal. For the main dishes we ordered the lamb shoulder and dolma. It was deliciousssss the best lamb shoulder I’ve ever had. It comes with a huge plate of 3 different kinds of rice. The dolma is also perfection, it comes with three different sauces. We ended it off with complementary tea and sweets. I highly recommend this restaurant for a change of cuisine and a lovely ambiance and hospitality. A special thank you to the staff and Mr. Hisham for greeting us with...
