Disappointing and disrespectful. Do they deserve a second chance? Only if you fancy wasting having a terrible experience.
The food is okay. Nothing to write home about. Their people look polite but they are probably the most disrespectful I have ever experienced at any restaurant. Respect is about treating people with care.
They have no care that people come for the experience first and the food second.
Here is the kind of care you can expect here:
After being seated, the waiter proceeded to serve warm water. Had to ask for cold water. The soup was warm. The bread instead of being piping hot tasted and looked like it had been microwaved. When we asked to have the BBQ packed for takeaway, my wife asked for garlic mayonnaise to be added. When the waiter came back, we asked again and he said they had forget and then proceeded to add it. Do you really have to ask? And even ask twice? Asked that the sweets be packed. They packed everything except the muhalabiah. In a call because of an earlier review I posted, they admit the mistake — and said it was because it comes in a glass bowl and should have told us that. This of course disappointed my wife when we got home because she was looking forward king forward to it — only to find that they packed everything she does not like and did not pack the one thing she does. I asked for the bill 4 times. Never got it and because we were tired almost forget. Got stopped in the way out which was embarrassing. This could have been avoided but this time a who these people are. They create problems for their guests with carelessness.
They even removed some figs I wrapped in a napkin I put in one of the bags after my wife asked them to put everything in one bag. That I discovered on the 2nd day.
Keep in mind, this place can take 200 people. When we visited on April 7, 2023, there barely 60 people.
In comparison, there were almost 25 servers, maybe 7 head waiters and supervisors, and another 5 managers and cashiers present. I can only imagine how bad the service would be if they were full house.
There are way better things places in Riyadh if you fancy good Lebanese cuisine and “actual” service. This is clearly not one of them.
Would I give them a second...
Read moreDuring my recent dining experience at Seray Restaurant, I found the overall experience to be underwhelming. The food was average at best, and the customer service left much to be desired.
Starting with the food, while it was not terrible, it lacked the wow factor that I had been hoping for. The flavors were mediocre and the presentation was unremarkable. The menu options were limited and lacked creativity, with dishes that were forgettable and lacked any unique or standout qualities, leaving me feeling somewhat unsatisfied.
Unfortunately, the poor customer service further dampened my experience. The staff seemed disinterested and unengaged, providing minimal attention to our table. It took a long time to get our orders taken, and the wait time for our food was longer than expected. Additionally, when we tried to address our concerns with the staff, they seemed dismissive and unapologetic, which left us feeling unimportant as customers.
Despite the average quality of the food and the subpar customer service, there were a few positives. The restaurant had a clean environment and decent hygiene practices, and the pricing was reasonable, though it didn't make up for the overall experience.
In conclusion, my experience at Seray Restaurant was disappointing. The food was mediocre, the customer service was poor, and the ambiance was unimpressive. I would hesitate to recommend this restaurant to others seeking a memorable...
