Applebee’s — Restaurant in Municipality of Olaya

Applebee’s has always been one of my favorite casual dining restaurants in Riyadh. The food is consistently tasty and the menu has a lot of good options. My personal favorites are the mushroom soup, which is rich and flavorful, the sizzling fajitas that come out hot and fresh, and the boneless chicken bites with barbecue sauce — they are always perfect and never disappoint.

What makes me a little sad is that most of their branches in Riyadh have closed over the years. I remember when they had many locations around the city, and it was easy to stop by with friends or family. Now, as far as I know, only two branches are still open. The quality is still the same, but the number of branches has really gone down.

Another thing I really like about Applebee’s is that the prices are reasonable compared to the taste, portion size, and quality of food they serve. When you compare it to similar restaurants, Applebee’s gives good value for money.

I truly hope they can come back stronger in Riyadh and reopen more locations like before. It’s a great place to enjoy tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere, and it definitely deserves to have more...

The worst lunch ever at applebee's ! Yesterday I decided to have lunch with my friends at applebee's – Al Hayatt Mall branch. We picked a table in the open area, and we started the misery. The waiter had the worst attitude ever. Although he had to repeat the order 3 times to confirm it, he brought 1 main dish different than we ordered. As well as all drinks had ice opposite to what we have ordered ! Actually all glasses were filled with ice more than drinks. Our order was 6 main meals and some appetizers. The 2 parmesan chicken were incredibly bad, the whole dish components were extremely disgusting. Of course we couldn't eat both meals. The creamy parmesan chicken was also disgusting, it came with some kind of weird rice. Same as the fiesta lime chicken was also too bad. The "things" we could eat were the appetizers , fried chicken (worst than KFC) , and pasta. The total misery didn't end at the restaurant. Once we got home, everyone got sick of the food (4 Adults and 4 Kids). To anyone planning to visit applebees's , for your safety...

To be honest, I don't recommend you guys to eat on this branch, Hayat Mall-Applebees. Why? The Filipino service crew was rude to us last night! At first place we didn’t know that we’re in Premium meal, so we expect that they us give a menu, not a piece of paper! The second thing was, were asking if there any additional ice cream desert and fruit juice to all of us, he said “No because u just have in Premium, and if you like there is BaskinRobins outside”. See? How rude is that. 3rd thing! After he collect our order, he said that let’s change some of your orders, it’s because some of these are not enough! So he decided to change our meal, he didn’t think that we are a costumers here! So if what we order thats the meal u serve! After that he come to us one by one to take our phone to sign up of something, i think to recommend there branch, to put a star like that! Till our orders come, he still there and not finish to disturb us! And the food is really not satisfying! Im saying this because im just concern to other costumers!...
