A lovely Saturday, 21st December 2024, I arrive at 6 AM to a new destination. Let's discover Atmosphere speciality coffee, located close to the metro station. My colleague at work Ms. Nama recommended this cafe.
The ambiance is beautiful with both indoor and outdoor seating. The seats are comfortable, and the cafe is bright and spacious with lots of natural light. The design and interior decoration are absolute photographer's delight.
The Ethiopia 🇪🇹 GUJI coffee beans 🫘 with a cup flavor profile notes of Jasmine, chocolate, and honey. The Espresso, Flat White, and Cortado prepared with precision by Mr. Senior, Barista from Nepal 🇳🇵 with over 2 years of experience.
The espresso double shot, with crema so velvety, silky smooth, nice bittersweet flavors, paired well with the coconutbites. My rating is 10 out of 10.
The flat white has a smooth texture and perfect latte to espresso ratio, served in a ceramic cup, and stayed true till the last sip, a delightful combination with Belgian chocolate cookie. My rating is 10 out of 10.
The Cortado has a strong bold character and is prepared with attention to detail. The barista got the basics spot on. My rating is 10 out of 10.
The hot V60 drip coffee brewed by hand skillfully by barista, Mr. Senior with El Salvador EMILIO coffee beans with a cup flavor profile notes of Hershey's Chocolate, Caramel, and honey. The full body syrupy texture delicate balance of sweetness paired well with the almond croissant. My rating is 10 out of 10.
The coffee beans are of the finest quality. The freshness, taste, and flavors are amazing with a perfect roast, combined with the skills of the baristas, and the coffee experience is unique.
The swet treats are awesome, a nice variety to match the coffees. The Belgian chocolate cookie was fragile and sweet. My rating is 8.5 out of 10.
The coconut bites have a nice texture, a bit sweeter than expected 😋. My rating is 8 out of 10.
The almond croissant with a nice filling of frangipane almond filling l, not too sweet, was fresh and fluffy, light and crunchy crispy with toasted almond flakes topping. My rating is 9 out of 10.
Overall rating is 9.4 out of 10.
@the owner, baristas (Anwar, Michael, Senior, Thamer, Sultan) and staff Rami and Mohannad. Thanks for hosting me today.
An unforgettable and memorable experience of my food journey in search of the best cafés, bakeries, and restaurants.
Fun facts: Almonds need really hot weather and cool winters to grow They are 100% reliant on wild bees and honey bees for crop pollination — No bees, no almonds Almond growers rent bees for pollination and it’s one of the most costly issues for growers Bees are fussy little fellows; they don’t work in the rain, at night, in the early morning, or when there’s frost The immature green almond can be preserved and pickled — some consider it a delicacy Of the 8 major varieties of almonds, the Nonpareil are the most prized (all have the same nutritional profile) There are 98 published research papers to date (with 19 more in progress) on the health effects of almonds, in particular their effect on heart health, diabetes and weight management Almonds were one of the first foods awarded a qualified health claim in the US Almonds help to slow absorption of sugar and carbs Recent sudies show almonds eaten mid-morning can help moderate your blood sugar throughout the...
Read moreWe were really excited to visit this place, as the decoration is lovely. However, the experience was disappointing. Despite the café being crowded, we were told we couldn’t sit in the right section which has 7 available seats, as shown in the photos. There was no clear explanation for this, and the area was guarded by staff who wouldn’t let us in. We were just two people with our daughter, and there were no other available tables.
I had to place my coffee and dessert on the pick-up table while I took care of my little girl and waited for an available table in the left section. But then, I was surprised when my coffee and dessert were taken away from the table. When I asked for a new cortado and explained that I put it there because there were no seats available and that I couldn’t carry our tray around, I was told I couldn't sit there. Not to mention, my 2-year-old daughter accidentally dropped the dessert on the floor when she tried to taste it, which led me to place it on the pick-up table in the first place. Eventually, I was given another cup of coffee after I asked for it, but we had to drink it at the outside door.
This lack of flexibility and communication was frustrating, especially since the café wasn’t full. We ended up having our coffee while standing outside. We lost both time and dessert, and we hope management can address this issue and provide a better experience for...
Read moreI was really looking forward to enjoying this specialty coffee shop and its relaxing, plant-filled atmosphere. Unfortunately, as a mom, I felt unwelcomed simply because I had my child with me. It was disappointing to realize that a place designed to feel warm and inviting did not extend that same welcome to families.
Moreover, I was told that men are not allowed to wear shorts, yet I noticed another customer inside who was wearing them without issue. This left me feeling that the rules are applied inconsistently and unfairly.
Coffee shops are often spaces where people come to connect, slow down, and recharge. For parents, especially moms, being able to enjoy a cup of coffee while their child is with them is a simple but meaningful experience. Not allowing that feels unnecessarily restrictive and, honestly, a bit discriminatory.
It would be wonderful if this café reconsidered its stance and created a more inclusive environment where everyone whether alone, with friends, or with family could enjoy the atmosphere they’ve worked so...
