The one star that I given it's for the tea only.. the reast off all very poor... this is not the first time that I am visiting this branch all the time it's just bad quality of food & service & finally it's forced me to put the review. The waiters eating food on the floor hide by mask & the way they deal with the customer in rude & mad... today I take porotta & chana masala.. the waiter lies to me that poratta is live made. & I received which is made pervious ones & not even smashed it. Then the chana curry I told him x spicy & I received not X spicy . The chana not even cooked properly 😒. Half cooked chana masala they are service & it's cost 6 s.r.. no managers or supervisor in floor to check the costumer satisfaction.. Last time we ordered poratta & we ask them some gravy & I highly noted to the waiter no beaf gravy because my friends don't eat beaf. He served the food & my friend already eat. Later on we found a beaf peace in that gravy. & we call the waiter again he's refusing it.... the sambar which is served there high ussage off sambar powder & kayyam. Need to give proper recpie to the cheaf by management & they have to taste all the dishes after the preparation & ready for the sales ( if the management looks for the sales) ... I will not suggest any off my friend or my cousins this property. I will not stop coming there, one more time I will visit to see what kind of changes the management made after this feedback from customer ( and I need to relaise if the management gives any value for the customer...

Ok. Let me make it clear, I bought meals. I rate Kerala food on that basis.

Don't get me wrong, the food is not terrible 1* , it's okish 2-3*. But since I see this as an overated place, am giving it on that manner.

That 2* food becomes worse when you link to the service and waiters. It's like they have some lifelong beef with me. I've never been to the place or seen them before, so donno why. They deal the same way with others. So...., They have problems with everyone.

It was dine-in, not special or family. So that you don't get any extra treatment. And they failed. Want to take some heat out of weekdays and relax? Then avoid dining here.

Now to Food - my order: fish fry meals. There were just 4 items + 1 curry + payasam + pappadam. Yes, just 4. Fish was cold. And not good, a place with 2* average would do better. Fish curry was okish.

Environment: Rush, and feels cramped because of dull artificial lighting. + Bad waiters gives it an extra negative star.

How 7000+ people reviewed and gave avg 4 star is beyond me.

Recommendations: For meals, Paragon at Batha still the better one - Fish is always hot and feels like fresh from the kitchen. Too many items. Superb service, doesn't matter how rush it is, they are just born to be nice humans. I think there used to be a free water as well. It's well lit since it's all windows, feels nice. It's not sparkly, not for the rich. It's for those who likes food. I've not tried any other dish from them. So can't review on anything else. Bonus:...

We arrived at the restaurant around 2pm at the weekend and it was very busy. We had to wait in their waiting area for about 10 minutes. We ordered salad, beef soup, vegetarian thali, beef biryani, king fish in masala, masala beef & falooda sweet dish. We were given papodam while waiting for the main dishes and a nice sweet tea like drink with some kind of lentils in it. The beef soup was really tasty. The salad was nice with good seasoning. Everything in the thali was good. We didn't like the biryani. The small rice was not flavoursome and the beef in it was too fatty and tough. I'm used to eating basmati rice. The masala for the fish was nice but the fish itself was an oily fish and we didn't like it. The beef dish was nicely spiced but the meat was tough so it was disappointing. The falooda was fantastic and made up for the disappointment of the dishes mentioned. The service was friendly but they forgot 1 item but still charged for it. When I pointed it to the waiter at the time of payment his corrected the mistake. Another point mentioning is that the waiters would disappear and when you needed a waiter it was difficult to find one without hunting. Overall a good experience but let down by the lack of attention to detail in supplying what was ordered and not having staff available when needed. Would I go back? Probably not because there are better places with...
