My second visit with my family and I thought I should put in my review…. You Need a lot of improvement .. You already have a lot of bad reviews Especially your chef …. A good chef needs to taste the food before serving to his customers.. if he doesn’t have the time then he needs an assistant
There was practically No salt( it the taste maker) Fish nirvana a total disaster( please don’t serve it if you don’t improve) Prawns masala was better than before Butter chicken was better than before Beef in coconut oil but no salt nor spices.. tasted little old like refried ( maybe it’s the oil as it was dripping ) Fried rice good( have to say what is nice)
Welcome staff good and waiters very good
Over all I am not happy with the food but there is still room for improvement( ambiance is good .. good presentation)BUT FOOD MATTERS.
I won’t be visiting your restaurant anymore…. I love Indian food and I think smaller places here in Riyadh can serve better food than what you offer…( I don’t expect it to be like kozikodans in Jeddah but keralite cooks are one of the best.. I am not a chef by profession but I love cooking and do a lot of try outs . With a passion it comes out great)
I feel sorry for this review thinking of all the staff working there but I am...
Read moreI've been frequenting the restaurant for the last 2 weeks. Tried most Kerala dishes available, mostly at dinner time as family was back in India. Service was decent, taste was average ( not bad by any means, but not close to being automatic) Quantity of portions were also ok.
Yesterday my family came and boy i thought I'll take her to the pepper tree as her first restaurant experience in Riyadh. We had tomato soup and while I was having it, I got a dead fly! I pointed it to the server guy and he was telling me it must have fallen in while I was having it since we were eating at the terrace. Boggled up my mind, but i let it as it is and wanted them to take away the soup. After 5 min, a manager guy walked up to me, again said the fly must have fallen from the outdoor seating and then i asked should I feel relieved hearing that the fly didn't come cooked, 😂 but it is dead in my soup bowl! He was really adamant and was justifying the kitchens was super clean. I fail to understand why he didn't think that I was still eating inside the restaurant!! At least he didn't say that I put the fly purposely and reported. BTW these shameless guys billed the whole meal even though we couldn't complete the meal, for obvious reasons. I feel these guys...
Read moreFirst of all I need to thank wholeheartedly this restaurant for making my son's 10th birthday a memorable one. Located centrally at a very attractive place in Malaz, Riyadh, Pepper Tree was a new name to hear from one of our friends . We called them and booked a table for the dinner on the occasion of my son's birthday and informed that we might expect a few guests and they gladly said you can add more family tables space for you. We being new to Riyadh don't have much friends and hence didnt plan a party and rather called a few friends for this dinner. When we came to the table booked for us, we were took by surprise as there were a party like arrangements made within the family space area. We were struck with joy and waited for our friends to come and once we ordered the dishes came within nominal preparation time without any delay. We being veg and our friends ordered non vegetarian dishes and all the dishes were delicious for us as well as feedback from our friends. They have a dedicated Kids play section and the kids were busy playing there and in fact refused to come as they were amused with the kids playing area. Overall it was a fantastic experience and they made our son's birthday time a memorable one...
