Coastal Restaurant - Indian — Restaurant in Riyadh Region

I stayed in batha for 2 weeks in a studio apartment /hotel in February 2024. During the second day I checked for kerala restaurants within 500m radius . However I found none. I found just this coastal restaurant . As per the description in google they we serving mangalore food. I visited the restaurant and here is my review.

This isnt a authentic mangalore food. This is a muslim Beary food. Food is mediocre and tasteless I have tried the below items :

Set dosa with chutney and sambar: The sambar doesnt taste like sambar. Please add some sambar powder. Its one of worst chutney money can buy . Do you make like this at your home also ?? Idly vada: For 5 riyals this was worth it . However the sambar and chutney was not good. The vada and idli is ok.

Puttu kadala : The kadala curry tastes the same as the remaining curries that I have had at this restaurant .

Gheerice : Its oily and ok

Chicken kadai : Its ok. The gravy tastes the same as kadala curry or vice versa.

Chicken masala:Its ok. The gravy tastes the same as kadala curry or vice versa.

Veg meals: Exteremely plain . Costly only 8 riyals , so its economical.

Chicken biryani: Tates good . But please reduce the oil.

Parotta : Its ok

Egg curry : Its ok

Peas curry : Its very plain and looks one that I got during my hostel days . Please make it better.

Tea: Very average. Please make some effort.

Chow chow bath : Its good

Sheera bath : Its good.

4.The server staff are energetic and polite . So thats a plus point of this restaurant .

5.The old guy who sits at the counter should make an effort to smile .

The cooks needs encouragement to make good food. If this is how your authentic Beary food tastes like , then wish you guys...

I traveled from Wizarat to Batha just to try their combo breakfast, unfortunately the waiter evaded the request, then laughed away when I said it is clearly mentioned in your menu. He said it is not there. Had to settle for masala dosa, which like most places was a paper masala not the thick one. Hunt for thick masala dosa continues in Riyadh.

Edit: The owner said that it is an old offer, not available now. But available on keeta delivery app. The pricing is economical, though the dosa was not to my preference it was good. Tea is good as well. So updating...

Top Notch Dinner, High quality, tasty and hygienic , melt in the mouth kind of food at affordable prices, I've tried almost all the items in the menu like Chicken chilli, Chicken 65, Chicken sukka, Chicken Curry, Chicken masala, Beef Sukka, Beef pepper, Beef Curry, Beef Kizhi Parotta, Beef Palli Pathiri, Mutton Paaya, Mutton Head Masala, Brain masala, Fresh Parotta, Chapathi, Kalthappa, Ghee rice Ammai dosa (Neer Dosa), Pindi Every item has a different variation of tastes . This place feels like home.... Thank you...
