KIMONO - Roshn Front — Restaurant in Riyadh Region

KIMONO is a family-friendly Japanese restaurant in ROSHN FRONT. The menu options were simple and delectable.

Going with MAKE YOUR OWN BOX, we had our selection of KIMONO’s maki rolls. My personal favorite was the KIMONO ROLL.

It was a fantastic experience, and I think it’s a staple for those in the area who want an Asian experience. I was piqued by their all-you-can eat offer on Mondays, and I will consider this as it is a very competitive offer.

A few points to highlight that I would recommend for KIMONO to consider:

Being a very selective reviewer of Sushi and Japanese restaurants, I find the quality-for-price of KIMONO to be below average. It’s quite pricey, and there are much better affordable alternatives with delicious varieties of Maki, Sashimis, Nigiris, and more.

The overall variety of the menu options is lacking. More options should added to the menu in sets. I would have been ecstatic were there any Salmon sets. As the menu stands today, salmon and tuna dishes are offered à la carte.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite unsettling. The addition of mirrors in every other tile lacked character and the quote above the wall “PEOPLE CONFUSE ME FOOD DOESN’T” goes against the simple Japanese motif beautifully illustrated across the walls.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience despite the imperfections of a Japanese restaurant in a populace area. Given my above review, I sincerely hope management takes into consideration the direction of the KIMONO brand. Food is excellent, staff are nice and welcoming. I didn’t like that two makis are not included in the Build Your Own sushi platter - it doesn’t make sense. It’s very low class to remove your best seller from the build your own option just to increase its sales. You can increase the price of the platter but give me all options, or else don’t tell me it’s whatever I want, then when the waiter comes you hey surprised that it’s not. I’ve been waiting and it was crowded so I choose to go to the bar but I saw a mess on the bar table so I told them I can’t sit here n then one of the waiters asked to sit on indoor table but suddenly other waiter came n asked me to leave the table coz someone else was waiting which’s make me feel like stupid while I was with my family so I went back to the bar table n then the waiter asked to move to outdoor table 😂😂😂😂😂 U can check the camera n see the funny services.
