Disappointing Service and Disrespectful Treatment
Our experience at this restaurant was nothing short of frustrating. Despite paying premium prices—90 riyals for a single pizza and 60 riyals for a spaghetti—the service we received made it feel like we were being given food for free.
From the start, the staff treated us with blatant disrespect. Every table had metal cutlery, yet for some reason, ours was replaced with plastic. When we asked for proper cutlery, they hesitated and condescendingly asked if we all needed metal cutlery or if they could just give two. Why should that even be a question?
Things only got worse when we brought in a bottle of sparkling water. The staff told us outside drinks weren’t allowed, yet my parents had done the same previously without issue. When we requested glasses, they outright refused and only relented after I called my dad to complain—giving us just one plastic cup for the entire table. When I asked if we were all supposed to share, they had no answer.
The attitude of the staff was unacceptable. They treated us like we were begging for food instead of paying customers. The way they spoke and acted made it clear they didn’t respect us. If we’re spending this much money on a meal, the least we deserve is to be treated with basic decency.
Overall, the food wasn’t even memorable enough to justify the horrible service. With so many better options available, I would never return. If you value good service and being treated like a human being,...
Read moreWhile the food at Prgo, particularly the risotto, was genuinely enjoyable, the overall dining experience was let down by several service and facility-related issues that are hard to overlook.
We arrived 15 minutes ahead of our reserved time, something most restaurants are typically flexible with. However, instead of being welcomed or offered the option to wait comfortably, we were told, quite abruptly, to return at the exact time of our booking. This rigid and unfriendly approach came across as unprofessional and unaccommodating. A more courteous handling of early guests would go a long way in improving first impressions.
Another major concern is the restroom situation. It’s difficult to understand how a two-floor restaurant, serving over 30 tables, is operating with just one shared toilet and sink for both male and female guests. This is not only impractical but also unhygienic, especially during busy hours. Such an oversight in basic facilities significantly impacts the comfort and convenience of diners.
In summary, while the kitchen shows promise, the lack of hospitality and inadequate infrastructure detract from what could be a much better experience. Stronger attention to guest service and investment in essential facilities are necessary if this venue wants to live up to the quality...
Read moreFrom the moment I walked into PREGO they greeted with warmth and the authentic aroma of freshly prepared Italian cuisine. The ambiance perfectly complements the rich flavors of the dishes – cozy yet elegant, with a touch of Italy's rustic charm. A perfect Fettuccini Alfredo should strike a harmonious balance between creamy, rich sauce and tender, perfectly cooked pasta. This dish shines when the Alfredo sauce is velvety smooth, bursting with a delicious combination of butter, heavy cream, and freshly grated Parmesan. The fettuccine itself should be al dente, providing a satisfying bite that complements the luxurious sauce without being overwhelmed by it.( Rate: 1000000/10) The Margherita Pizza was another standout – with its thin crust, mozzarella that melted beautifully, and a simple yet perfect balance of fresh basil and tomato.
