Arrived for dinner today with my partner. We were greeted and left to find our own seats. 15 minutes passed and we had to ask for a menu, although the place was empty & there were more than 5 staff present. We then ordered and waited 40 minutes for the food to arrive in an empty restaurant. The beef satay was probably the worst meal I’ve had in my entire trip, bearing in mind it was almost £10GBP. I sent it back. We noticed the treatment of ourselves in comparison to white people sat nearby was entirely different. The service was appalling and I felt I was judged as less than the white people sat there, who seemingly were asked how they were, were given menus and were attended to instantly and looked after throughout. I think this boils down to the racism and colourism of the staff employed here. Extremely disappointing experience and definitely ruined my last day in Kandy. If you’re foreign and brown, don’t bother eating here unless you wish to be treated as a second...

BUT this.. was really underwhelming. This has been the most expensive; smallest portion; tasteless dinner we’ve had the last 10 days in Sri Lanka. We felt a bit pushed to interact with the band as well as they come to you when you are eating-mid conversation and there are nit many nice ways to avoid that. In the end we felt pushed out from the place as we didn’t want to order anything more so we were served the bill right away. We were in and out in ~45 min.
Although it has cute twinkling lights and a nice view to the city and lots of potential I would suggest to have a fresh juice ( as both pineapple and mango juice were great!) there and skip the food.
Hope this place will turn around as it really has great potential...

We dined in the early evening and almost had the restaurant to ourselves. We chose the garlic fried rice, beef in chilli sauce with capsicum and the fried fish in spicy sauce. What better way to accompany this than two large bottles of ice cold Tiger beer!
The garlic fried rice was the best I’ve ever tasted. The beef in chilli sauce was absolutely delicious and the fried fish in spicy sauce was magnificent. The staff were very attentive, professional and courteous. The food was first class, highly recommended. The meal itself was very affordable and the view is the...
