Not that the pizzas we had were bad, they were pretty good to be honest, but the service was woeful. First we were made to sit in the reception for ten minutes to wait for a table, I don’t mind doing this but the place wasn’t even half full. When we got a table we ordered drinks, one of the party specifically asked for the Fanta, not the orange Fanta but what ever flavour the purple logo Fanta was. So the drinks order arrived with a Fanta orange. Waitress couldn’t be bothered to try to explain. She did however let us know that everything we wanted was not available!
Apparently to have stuffed crust, thin base and a host of other types of base you need to order medium or large! I’m not a big pizza eater but I’m fairly sure you can have most combinations in the uk, but hey it’s ok this isn’t the uk. I was fairly hungry so went for the thin base medium sized fiery chicken. All the smaller pizzas arrived and the party got stuck into them, mine being a bit bigger hadn’t arrived. Everyone had finished theirs and still no sign of mine so we called the waitress over again, she had no recollection of me ordering a medium thin base, though never questioned the fact she only had five small pizzas for a table of six. She came back over with the order she had written and obviously had it written down judging by the awkward look on her face. All she did was look at me and say “ten minutes” not a sorry not an excuse nothing. Also the toilets were disgusting, apart from anyone using the urinals being in full view of the lobby when the door is opened, the place stunk to the point of making your eyes water. After I washed my hands I stuck them under the dryer..... nothing! Out of order. I can understand that things break down but c’mon put some towels out. Pizza Hut, you need to police your franchise’s a bit better and ensure they train...

The Pizza Hut in Kandy is located near the Temple of the Tooth, making it a convenient place to grab a bite to eat after visiting the sacred site. The restaurant is situated on two floors, with the ground floor dedicated to takeaway orders and the first floor housing the dine-in area.
Ambience:
The dining area is spacious and well-lit, with large windows that offer views of the surrounding city. The tables are well-spaced, providing a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for diners.
Service:
The staff at Pizza Hut Kandy were friendly and attentive, providing prompt and efficient service. They were happy to answer any questions we had about the menu and made sure that we were enjoying our meal.
Food:
We ordered a personal-sized pepperoni pizza, a pasta bolognese, and a chicken pizza. The food was all delicious and well-prepared. The pizza crust was thin and crispy, and the toppings were generous. The pasta bolognese was flavorful and hearty, and the chicken pizza was juicy and tender.
Overall:
We had a great experience at Pizza Hut Kandy. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good pizza in Kandy.
Additional notes:
Our food was delayed for an unexplained reason, but the staff apologized and brought us two complimentary garlic breads as a gesture of goodwill. The prices at Pizza Hut Kandy are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. The restaurant offers a variety of pizza toppings and pasta dishes to choose from, so there is something to suit everyone's taste. Pizza Hut Kandy is a great place to eat with family or friends. BUT service and staff - NO! Pizza hut - I think you need to retrain your staff... Slow in serving us, taking orders, and overall lack of attention... .your staff is more interested in chat and fun between themselves.( note - I ignore time needed for preparing pizza - I got the fact its not preheat it, but bake it ) , staff is slow in providing utensils for food...lots of staff but no one had idea that utensils for pizza can be given to clients before food comes ? - and we had to remind them that we need any.. WiFi - well...I was feeling as thief.... - in most tourist places we ware given wifi password printed, ok if not - staff wrote it for us - here Staff would not give you wifi pass at all - they HAVE TO tap it into your mobile/device themselves - seriously?? are you really think that tourists will pass on to others your wifi pass ?? - I am traveling across Asia a bit now - never come across this! when wifi and data is so easy and widely accessible Sri Lanka.... sorry but that was bad attitude approach for me - especially that we had 3 mobiles to connect... - this was bit uncomfortable experience.
ps pizza is no worth price - if you have enough local food its better to go next corner opposite side of road & get even crispy dosa - condiments are not spicy at all.. its very tasty..and costs...
