Chilled back hip cafe that distinguishes itself from all others in the town. If you want to step away from busy streets of Kandy to wind down and relax while enjoying a good beverage and perhaps a meal then this might might just be the place for you.

This place has struggled due to lack of tourism after turbulent recent past. Made two attempts to visit and order a meal however on each occasion the place was shut despite arriving during advertised opening times. The third attempt was success albeit this time I was there just out of curiosity. Ordered a coffee and as it was delivered I took the opportunity to share the feedback from my previous attempts and to my suprise the waiter was very keen to hear more details of my experience with interest to use it as an opportunity to improve. During our conversation I discovered that the waiter was actually the owner and he insisted that the coffee was on the house. He refused to take my money in the end but I was very persistent and left it on the counter with a little tip.

I regret not having the opportunity to try some of the awesome looking meals but if it is anything like the long black I had the pleasure of sipping whilst chilling back on the balcony then I have no doubt there would be of a great standard.

This rating is largely based on the experience at this cafe. That which is the genuine and friendly service and a good example what great people there are...

Expensive but it was worth it for us. The food was delicious, especially the brownie! I felt very comfortable there, with nice staff. There was no avocado (they weren’t ripe yet, i was offered to test one). It wasn’t that big of an issue, every restaurant in Sri Lanka right now has something on the menu that they don’t have available, but i noticed other costumers didn’t really like that. The smoothiebowl menu was not included in the menu’s they gave to everyone, it was only given when you ordered something unavailable (so something with avocado).. this seemed a bit odd to me, why not include it immediately? Anyway the smoothiebowl and toast with mushroom tasted great! I would come back to this place and would recommend it to others. I did later realize that there was already a surface charge included in the prices, meaning we double tipped. It would have been kind to tell us this when we tipped extra, since the total amount we ended up tipping...

Returning to this cafe after four years, I am delighted that its charm and quality have remained unchanged. It's rare to revisit a place and discover it still holds the same magic as on your first visit. This cafe continues to serve, in my opinion, the best coffee in all of Sri Lanka.

Nestled up a nondescript alley in central Kandy, climbing stairs leads you to this serene oasis. The atmosphere remains as cosy and chilled as ever, with beautiful murals adding to the cafe's unique character. The coffee is still excellent, a perfect companion to a leisurely breakfast. The added perks of nice background music and free Wi-Fi only enhance the experience.

I appreciate the old-world charm of the building and sincerely hope it withstands the test of time against modern developments. This cafe is a must-visit for anyone in Kandy, offering a peaceful retreat in the city's heart. Highly recommended for those seeking a quiet spot with great coffee and a...

Cute and cool little cafe located right in the Kandy city yet bit hidden and away from bustle. First impression of the cafe created from the wall arts in entrance passage and interior decors is pretty novel compared to typical cafes in Sri Lanka, specially in Kandy. Seeing the menu, adds to that feeling, since they don’t have usual rice and noodles options but some healthy, filling and delicious smoothies in coconut shell bowls, pancakes and waffles, salads, nicely presented milkshakes, coffee, mocktails etc . So any foodie who love to try something different and bit fancy plus healthy would love this place. I tried a smoothie bowl which was a blend of my favourite fruits was so good and loved the brownie shake with a perfectly baked brownie on top of it . Their pancakes were fluffy and tasty too. Prices were pretty reasonable. Basically everything about this cafe was great including the friendly service and freshly made food there .
