Ayoka Dakar — Restaurant in Dakar

If I could give zero or negative stars I would. I ordered kale salad for starter. Five min later told they don’t have ut. So I order lobster ravioli with fois gras sauce. Yet they bring me the ravioli with PEANUT sauce instead. Eventually they bring the correct sauce but waited so long was really hungry so ate ravioli. Offered mo more ravioli to eat with sauce that EVENTUALY showed up. Edamame had sugar on it. As did my husband’s maki, rendering both inedible. When my sashimi shieed, it was bathed in mystery sauce and no wasabi. After much negotiation got new sashimi without weird sauce. Daughter fell asleep waiting for food because apparently her food should arrive 15 ninutes after ours and only when requested. Thanks for finally bringing her fries with no mayo or ketchup. She was carried home as she was asleep. I was left with hefty bil for food that was either inedible ir arrived too late...

Ayoka is a gorgeous spot—elegant, well-maintained, and clearly designed with care. The setting is definitely a highlight, and the service was warm and professional throughout.

The food was better than Noom poolside, but still didn’t quite meet expectations for the price. The set menu at lunch felt restrictive, and while the dishes were nicely presented, the flavours were mostly underwhelming and portions quite small.

That said, I absolutely loved the warm, fresh bread and herb butter—a simple detail, but honestly one of the best parts of the meal.

Great restaurant for guests staying at the Radisson or not. Live music is frequent, the service is friendly and prompt. Also situated adjacent to the mall so convenient for a stop after shopping. Food is top notch. I dare say better than the hotels inhouse restaurant. If you are a guest meals can be booked to your room. It can get full so arrive early and sample their array of drinks and cocktails. It has a real eastern flavour for those who like sweet and sour, sushi, stirfries and nuts in...
