My family attended a buffet today and it was not great nothing like what was advertised on Tiktok apart from the price. The food offered was nothing as promised, make sure you reserve a table to avoid queuing and if you want a chance to sit inside in the air conditioner. People were fighting for food and the sitting organisation was horrendous just not enough structure and definitely not enough as we were offered tap water and some sugary drink mixed with water not sure what it was as there was no label! It is a buffet but yet they want to serve you so where is the fun in that! They charge you extra for drinks and the waitress are not friendly and do not bring you what you order. My family ordered Evian water and Fanta in cans but we got Kirene and some fizzy drinks in bottles without any notifications just rude! We left shortly after that. The positives were that the mafe was nice as well as the cakes and the pizza but the ice cream was not rich but watery and tasteless do needless to say I do not recommend and we will not be back though the security...
Read moreThis airport is sometimes described as an airport hotel but, be warned, it is next to the old, little used Dakar airport and nowhere near the new international airport. That said, it does have quite a good location, close to the beach and the road which runs around the coast of the city centre promontory. I arrived late evening and was required to pay the room rate immediately. The reception's card machine wasn't working and I was taken next door to the casino to pay in advance. The next day, I had to pay for a breakfast time coffee and, again, the card machine was useless. They were keen for a cash payment but I had no CFA, they had no small change Euros. Eventually, they settled on US$ 4 ....for a small coffee. In fact, this is rather an overpriced hotel. The general style of the place is nice and the rooms are workable without being pleasant. The windows had fly screens but there were no mosquito nets....and, admittedly, I didn't see any mosquitoes. The plumbing...
Read moreIt's well place in the ngor district and accessibility is not an issue as it's next to the road. Ill consider it's a more business hotel. It does have a pool and the restaurant is decent. The personnel is helpful and very courteous. Rooms are clean and practical. you do have a mini bar and a TV. AC are available . WiFi is free and they do provide shuttles for airport transfer. Prices is above average. Regarding the location, it's not far from the sea, restaurants, shops etc. late checkout can be negotiated. They also have a conference room if you do have business or professional needs for that. Laundry services are also available and you do have a safe in the rooms. Drinks are not that expensive and food is good. You have some variety in the menu and also 'plat du jour'. It can get noisy as it's next to the roads and doors of you neighbour can also be disturbing but it's ok. Security is high and taxis are available on request or you can just have them in front...
