Reine Margarita — Restaurant in Dakar

I recently visited this restaurant and was truly impressed, especially by the spaghetti carbonara—it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had.

The prices are reasonable, and the staff is polite and courteous. However, I did notice that the staff could check on guests a bit more often to see if anyone needs anything.

The terrace is a nice option, but it can get quite noisy and smoky due to the traffic on the busy street outside. On the other hand, the indoor seating is air-conditioned and very comfortable, making it a pleasant place to enjoy your meal.

Well... I was a bit slow to find Reine Margherita. It's been there a couple of years. But, better late, than never. And now I am one of the regulars, an ultra you can say. The place is plain and simple, no pretentious glam there. Food: So good. Best pizzas in this town, basta. The pastas also, really made as if you were in some regions of Italy. The ambience is free and loose, the many local Italians always dropping in to this small food station increase this feeling. Si trova a qualche minuto dal monumento del rinascimento. L insegna non è particolarmente visibile, ma non è stato difficile trovarlo grazie all uso di Maps. Il locale era abbastanza spartano e semplice. Questa rappresenta una nota da migliorare in futuro.

Sono stati serviti gli arachidi tostati locali in attesa degli ordini.

La pizza, finalmente dopo diversi tentativi in altri locali, era fatta con mozzarella e non emmental. Nelle foto sono presenti pizza vegetariana e linguine cozze e vongole.

La pizza era buona, eccessivamente bollente nonostante apprezzi particolarmente il cibo caldo. Era una pizza alla romana, cioè bassa. Le linguine anche avevano molte cozze e vongole "carnose" ed era abbastanza buona seppur avrei messo un po' di sale in più. Nella foto di vede quante ce n erano.

Il discorso del sale possibile che però dipendesse dal fatto che venivo dalla pizza prima di assaggiare la pasta.

Personale particolarmente cordiale e sorridente rispetto alle modalità senegalesi. Si vede che è stata fatta una formazione al personale.
