Stara Srbija — Restaurant in City of Belgrade

Loved this place. Ended up here by chance because I needed something asap and it was two minutes from my crib. Boy, was I happy. They serve the old school Serbian hits. The food and wine are fantastic, ambience is nice, lived in the moment, ended up chatting with the people at the other table more than once. Took my uncle here sometime afterwards and he left the restaurant a stuffed and jolly man. I recommend, especially when seated outside in the summer nights... it is just...

The ambience of the restaurant is gorgeous, with its little court covered in lights. However, the food was not really good!

The chicken soup as a the starter was really, really bad. I would not recommend the soup at all.

The cheesy meat I had was better/okay, but kind of chewy and a little bit raw in some places. The amount of fries I had as a side, weren't really enough in my opinion.

The tableware was run down and had cracks.

This kafana it's just The Kafana The quality is really high (I'm Italian so I know what quality means) The service is great (the waiter looks like john Malkovich and he is the best and he speaks really good English) It really worth to spend your money here. In four days in Belgrade we came twice
