Stayed with my mum for 4 nights recently. It was overall a good hotel, very well priced. However I would say the location was not very good (unless you want to be near saint sava temple only) it’s about 30-35 minute walk to Belgrade “city centre”- it just wasn’t very convenient for us, so we got a lot of taxis to and from during our stay there. The rooms are very good size but the walls are quite thin- could hear the rooms next door, upstairs, downstairs etc and there was definitely some plumbing sounds that kept us awake that we could hear from the back of the hotel. (By chance I had earplugs and they really came in handy!) Also, there are crisps and peanuts left on the desk in our room and we looked at the mini bar menu and it wasn’t listed on there, so we thought it was complimentary- we were a little surprised at the end we were asked to pay. They provide you with tv channels listings but they’re all totally wrong and some of the channels don’t seem to exist as well. (Not so much of an issue, just a little annoyance) The staff are exceptionally pleasant and lovely and were more than accommodating for us. There are a lot of restaurants around the area so it’s very easy to find places for lunch or dinner- and there is a supermarket literally down the road which came in handy too. I would say that if you are a heavy sleeper and really really like walking then this is a perfect...
Read moreMyself and two friends stayed in the Hotel Tesla for two nights whilst attending a Champions League match at the Red Star stadium. The main reason we chose this hotel was the relatively close location to the stadium (15 minutes walk) compared to most other 4/5 star hotels in the city. ||The hotel is beautifully appointed and every comfort has been taken care of. The service that we received from both Melica and Sladana was fabulous and they helped us with restaurant and bar recommendations and even prepared a local map to help us get to the stadium safely without us requesting one. ||Sladana organised free entry to the Tesla museum for us and I would recommend this tour (about an hour). The museum is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. ||Only slight negative is that there is no hotel bar, however each room has a very well stocked mini bar and there is ample variety of bars and restaurants within 5 minutes walk. ||There is a small breakfast room in the basement (no problem getting a table) which is light and bright as it overlooks the small car park. Decent selection of cooked or continental choices, all good quality ingredients. ||I would not hesitate in booking the Hotel Tesla if my travels take me back...
