Club Sonja — Restaurant in City of Novi Sad

A kind of 70’s retro style place. Simple but not that old and will bring your memories back from your childhood. We didn’t speak the language and had to rely on our Serbian relative to translate for us. People was friendly and tried to help us. The potion of veal soup was huge and tasty. Be prepared for the size, four of us shared it 😂 the cevapi platter also was huge. The grilled meat ball was nice with a touch of spicy chilli in it. Price came out like 60 US dollars at the end. Typical srbian traditional oldschool restaurants, the waitress was really kind and nice, she tried to understand even of the lack of English language :) the food, for the first, the portion was enormous!!! for the second, the traditional meat called “pljeskavica” was cooked and seasoned really good, it was fresh and juicy :) the only thing we noticed were little higher prices, but we believe, it is because of the huge festival close to restaurant during...

It's a restaurant (next to) a sports club. It's not a luxury restaurant but it feels very authentic and is clean etc. The food was good, although 10 čevabčiči is a huge portion (ask for 5) and they don't have lots of things on the menu. The waitress was very kind, we did have to wait a bit for the food though. The toilets are not in the best state, they don't exactly close.
