So...I've been in both branches (Victoria & Beau Vallon). Let me just say, Victoria has a better service and food taste way better. I ordered a green salad and a steak au poivre but asked to change the sauce being that I'm allergic to black pepper. Let me bullet point all the issues. •table set up wasn't complete. I had to use one single tissue for the whole meal. No extras.
• asked for water so i could rinse the salty taste out of my mouth from that salty steak. But the lady gave me a hot glass with room temperature water. Either she just took it out of the dishwasher or just washed. She could have atlease put some ice to change that temperature.
•The salty steak to which I sent back, came out the same. They just removed(washed) the creamy on it. Which made me wonder, how did the remove all that sauce from it?? And I pointed that out to the waiter to which he said, maybe the chef just put it on the grill again. (The salty sauce magically disappeared). I asked for medium rare n got well done steak. As if that was my complaint.
•And being that I complained, where's the service satisfaction/recovery? They saw that I didn't touch the steak and they didn't bother to ask. They gave me the bill without me asking if everything was ok. nor was I encouraged to have a desert or anything else they have to offer. Instead she presented me with the bill as if they wanted me to leave. What kind of service is this?
•told the girl all the issue n she is smiling while swiping my card. Obviously she didn't care. Her manager tried to listen and finally offered a scoop of ice cream. To which I declined and left. Because I shouldn't have to repeat myself for you to take initiative. Or tell you how to do your job. They should know how to treat customer. Tourism/restaurant business is very delicate and competitive.
Never again. It's not value for...
Read moreWe stopped by Dolce Vita Café for delicious pizza on a super hot, humid day and honestly, the idea of a hot coffee sounded like a bad life choice 😅 Luckily they had ONZ Nutrition Good Energy in the cooler and it was exactly what we needed.
Cold, refreshing, no sugar, and gave us that nice clean lift without feeling heavy or jittery. Perfect for Seychelles heat when you still need energy but can’t handle one more latte.
Props to Dolce Vita for stocking something local, natural, clean ice cold energy like this. More cafes should follow lead and we will need to bring a case back from our travels!
When it’s 90°F with 90% humidity, icy ONZ coffee every time 🌞⚡️ @onznutrition @dolcevitaseychelles #TooHotForCoffee #GoodEnergy #CleanBoost #SeychellesHeatHack...
Read moreI had breakfast a few times at this place while staying both at Beau Vallon and Victoria. The crossiant selection is amazing, albeit small. Coffee was great as it should be from an Italian cafe. Service is also OK, but at the Beau Vallon, it can be improved. And when you pay, they didn't issue a receipt the two times I went there, which made me feel a little uncomfortable. The atmosphere is very nice and chilled just across the street from the beach. The one in Victoria is a lot bigger and seems more organised. It has a feel of both a cafe and a reaturant. The staff also issued a receipt and were quite...
