Wooden house cafe — Restaurant in Mahé

Very bad experience. We made a reservation and when we arrived we were informed that tuna was no longer available, which meant that more than 60% of the menu was unavailable. We were also informed that ramen was unavailable. They told us that there was job fish as a substitute for certain tuna dishes, so we wanted to order dishes with that fish but 10 minutes later we were informed that also the job fish was unavailable. We decided to order sushi, which lacked basic ingredients (eg sesame) and broke down into pieces the second we grabbed it with chopsticks. Soy sauce was limited to one tiny pre-filled bowl and didn’t come in the usual bottle, so we had to ask for additional bowls of soy sauce. We wanted to order big draft Seybrew from the menu and we were informed that they only have the small bottles of that beer. We arrived at the restaurant at 19.45 and the food was brought to our table at 21.05, which is really unacceptable. The waiter told us at some point “I am very busy I don’t have much time to help you with the menu” - given that more than half of the menu was unavailable, it...

We celebrated our wedding dinner at this restaurant, and it was absolutely magical! We had requested a set menu and received wonderful suggestions from the very beginning. The evening started with two incredibly delicious cocktails, followed by a tasty appetizer platter, a selection of main courses, and a dessert that was simply heavenly.

The team took care of us attentively and warmly throughout the entire evening. Everything was perfectly organized, from the decoration to the table arrangements, you could really feel how much effort they put into making the evening special.

It was an unforgettable night: the food was fantastic, the atmosphere beautiful, and our guests were thrilled. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and thank the team for making our wedding dinner...

Didn't have anything against this place until last visit. Probably it was too busy. But they messed up completely this time. Starting with mixing cocktails order, bringing me the alcohol cocktail when I have asked for non alcohol one. It could be very dangerous issue. Passing that they mixed up with orders and forgot to bring some, while paying they have stuck with credit card, running up and down to get some paper to print. While we got a confirmation for the transaction, they told us it has been declined. But on top of everything they woke me up at midnight!!! telling me that transaction has been declined. Completely ruined my evening. Considering I have to start working at 6 am, it was a pleasure to be woke at midnight, at least to write a review! BTW, food was OK. that's why...
