After some years of visiting the location I have to admit that the service is going worse. It seems to be normal to shout at the guest who is just asking not to touch the plate of the wife going with the kid to the toilet. Something went wrong with this location. It is a pity… After unprofessional answer of the restaurant manager including some bad words about my family members I have to bring to the judgement of the community the situation as I saw during the evening: During the evening Halloween party with families was celebrated at the restaurant with all possible negative results - long period for bringing the food or non reaction to the question being served. All these circumstances were acceptable because of challenging situation for all persons Non reaction of the restaurant manager to some questions about orders were disappointing but again quit by my family Some of misunderstanding in the ordering (who was served and when and the long serving period) were anyhow smiled away by my family as again challenging situation for everybody finally the food was brought. Late, but we were happy to get the kids satisfied as they were hungry first trial of cleaning the table by the waitress was declined by me as my wife has not finished the food and was asked by the kid going to the toilet but just one minute later the food was graped together with all garbage by the restaurant manager and I brought my disappointment about this behavior (non asking if the cleaning is ok!) to him. Instead of a simple „Sorry, I was not aware about non-finishing of the meal“ by the manager, he started to shout on me that I am not allowed to rise my voice. Unfortunately, the situation was shaked higher by rising the voices from both sides. my comment in Google maps about dropped service quality led to the statement of the restaurant manager that I am the worse guest ever and especially crucial - mixture of my kids in the situation.
To this situation - I can apologize for my voice stating that I felt right in this situation. And I can only advice to the manager being honest to the guests - if you do not like them or the kids, just ask not to come. That would prevent such situations in advance. I will fulfill the wish of the manager not to come to this restaurant anymore, being happy having enough good restaurant in the near. But hoping for the future about change in the behavior. Once again - pity...
Read moreWent to Palmier Restaurant on numerous occassions while holidaying on Eden Island for our holiday recently in the Seychelles. I found the food to be of top quality with a variable menu catering for all of us from kids to adults with generous portions at very competitive prices as opppsed to other restaurants in the area. The ambience, live music, dancers and decor was superb and we thoroughly enjoyed our evenings there. I must add extremely great service as well and the owner of the restaurant Lee to be very hospitable , welcoming , friendly and extremely accommodating. Read moreWe ate there almost every day. Today I unfortunately ordered a tuna steak that smelled really bad and tasted like rotten fish. After the first bite I brought the food back and told them it was stale and would give me food poisoning. The team of 3 explained that the tuna was great because it had ONLY been in the fridge for 3 days! ! ! They made me pay for food I couldn't eat and most likely would have cost me a hospital visit.
