Review for Arnold's Ayer Rajah Branch I was disappointed with the service my family and I received during our recent visit to the Arnold's branch in Ayer Rajah today, between 1:15 and 1:50 PM. Despite the store being relatively empty, our experience was far from enjoyable. We were packing some snacks to take away after lunch, as I have fond childhood memories of enjoying your chicken, and wanted to bring some for my mum. While reviewing the menu, we were attended by a guy staff member who seemed to be in his late 20s to 40s, dark-skinned, possibly of Malay or Filipino descent, and of a plump build. Just under 2 minutes into our visit, I noticed this staff member at cashier taking our orders showing us his impatience look with his eyes closed and pretend to be sleepy while we looking at the menu. When I paid with a slightly dog-eared $50 note, I was taken aback by his prolonged, judgmental stare at the note. This behavior felt unnecessary and unprofessional. Things worsened when, after we placed our order, I saw this same staff member chatting happily with a female colleague while we waited. His earlier impatience contrasted sharply with the relaxed demeanor he showed later, leaving me feeling uncomfortable and dissatisfied. Good customer service should prioritize respect and attentiveness, no matter the circumstances, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case during our visit. I hope this feedback helps ensure your staff maintains a more professional attitude...
Read moreWas here at 12pm. With 2 tables occupied. Firstly, I politely asked for no breast meat, I know you have SOPs for staff to follow that no request of chicken parts are allowed but the restaurant was not busy and with only 2 groups of customers to serve, ( they were already served by the way, I was the latest customer.). The cashier could've just turned around and help ask the crew to TRY not serving me breast meat. You know what? Just barely a minute later, a breast meat was served together with a wing part with chunk of breast meat can be seen. The Pandan outlet is unlike your city plaza outlet, with your cashier at the door and kitchen at the back, this Pandan outlet's cashier is just two hands length away, just beside your despatch area, why couldn't this be told or observed since you only have one customer to serve! I was ok after but guess what? Chicken and fries were lukewarm and soggy. Is this the standard you have nowadays? Your city plaza outlet serves much better food than this. Really disappointing. Will be my last time dining elsewhere except if I pass by city plaza. BTW, I seldom write reviews but this is really...
Read moreim writing this review because i find this place having a lot of untapped potential. chicken is superr juicy and fries and well seasoned. a few points are lacking and i believe this restaurant can surpass competitors like jollibee and kfc with these pointers.
serve chicken gravy with every order of chicken
chicken gravy doesnt cost much and it doesnt make sense to charge for something so elevating. it greatly improves the dryness effect of fried chicken and can be used for fries as well
allow picking of sides in meals
pretty self explanatory, makes consumers feel like they have more of a choice. also the fries + mash potato is a killer combo
coleslaw and tartar sauce
personally i find the shape of the coleslaw pretty interesting and untraditional, but still delicious. i recommend toning down the sweetness level by 30% allowing more savory notes rather than overpowering sweetness
ill be open to going into more detail if yall are interested! good...
