Heard good review about this place from a few friends and read about it, making me all excited to try out the food here.
With great expectation, I was left greatly dismayed.
However, to be fair, the food wasn’t bad, and the crab omelette was great! But I have tried better Thai food locally at more affordable prices.
What left me greatly dismayed and spoilt the whole dining experience was their service.
I went with friends occupying a few tables, and my table of four placed our order with dishes for sharing and a mains of our own each. We wasn’t the last to place our order, and I ordered a plate of Kailan with Crispy Pork and Rice.
After all my friends’ individual dishes and the sharing dishes have been served, as well as the orders of the other tables occupied by my friends (including a table which reached significantly later), my order of Kailan with Crispy Pork and Rice wasn’t served.
Upon query, the staff replied that Kailan has been sold out. This was extremely bad service, my food order wasn’t fulfilled as it was sold out and yet we weren’t duly informed until upon queried. Subsequently the Kailan in my order was proposed to be replaced with Kangkong which I accepted.
At this point, my friends at my table are halfway through their food and some friends on other tables have already started their dessert.
Subsequently, to my astonishment, we found out that they had also ran out of white rice and the next batch of rice would take another 15 minutes. (If orders were prepared in sequence, how could there not be any rice for my order which was placed at a much earlier time compared to other orders and yet they received their rice).
By the time my food was served, all my friends have completed their meal and some were already leaving. To make matters worse, the kangkong was extremely salty and by then I was too hungry and angry to raise it to the staff. Mindful of my friends, I also had to rush through the salty food to minimise wasting their time.
Throughout the whole time, while I kept my cool, there was no apology offered from the multiple staff – they just stared/looked at me waiting for my food.
If not for the excellent crab omelette, I would have given a one...
Read moreWe recently visited Warm Cafe Singapore as a group of 5 colleagues 👨💼👩💼, and we were absolutely impressed by the food, ambience, and warm service 🥰. It’s one of those underrated places that serve genuine comfort food, and we’re so glad we gave it a try! 😋
We ordered quite a spread to share — 🍲 Boat noodles 🐟 Thai fishcakes 🌶️ Red tom yum soup 🐖 Roasted pork 🥬 Stir-fried kailan 🥠 Crispy popiah 🍳 Thai-style egg omelette
Each dish came out freshly cooked, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor 🌟.
The boat noodles were rich, aromatic, and had that authentic herbal depth in the broth that made us want to slurp it all up 🍜🔥. The portion was just nice, and the noodles had great texture 👍.
The red tom yum soup was the perfect balance of spicy 🌶️, sour 🍋, and savory — super satisfying and comforting. If you're into bold flavors, this one's a must-try ✅.
The roasted pork had an excellent crispy skin and tender meat 🍖 — well-marinated and delicious. It paired really nicely with the kailan, which was crunchy, fresh, and garlicky 🧄🥬 — a good contrast to the richer dishes.
The fishcakes were bouncy and fragrant 🐟💥 with just the right amount of spice, and the popiah had a delightful crunch outside with flavorful fillings inside 🥠✨. As for the egg omelette, it was fluffy, golden, and went perfectly with rice 🍚 — simple but so satisfying.
The place itself has a relaxed and cozy vibe ☕🌿, making it ideal for casual lunches or dinners with colleagues and friends. The staff were friendly and attentive 🧑🍳😊, and the food came out pretty quickly even during a busy hour ⏱️.
💰 Price-wise, it’s very reasonable for the quality and quantity you get — we were full and happy without burning a hole in our wallets.
Highly recommend Warm Cafe if you’re craving authentic Thai flavors in a comfortable setting! 🌶️🍛 We’re definitely coming back to try the other items on...
Read moretl:dr, gave low review because of service and waiting time. only saving grace was the super delicious braised pork boat noodle. wld bump to 5* if service improves.
went in at 9pm for late dinner. peak hour or not you decide. sat down and waited about 10mins before they decided to take our order. sat indoors, not sure if their alfresco area was very busy so perhaps no time but had to be reminded a few times to do so.
ordered moo ping, braised pork boat noodle, tomyum egg noodle and minced meat pork omelette.
boat noodle came first, followed by tomyum noodle. moo ping came about 20mins later with the omelette coming last when we already finished our food. so we literally ate the omelette on its own and we did not even finish it because we were already full.
boat noodle was superb. really worth the try. came really quick too. 5/5
tomyum egg noodle tasted diluted and watery. the bean sprouts that came with it also overpowered the soup. entire soup tasted more tao gei than tomyum. really didn't taste nice at all. 1/5
moo ping was meh. can skip. at least it came hot. 2/5
egg omelette was the one that came at a weird timing. we wanted to cancel the order and leave because we thought they already forgotten about the order. normally egg dishes come very quickly but today was different. 3/5
all in was $42 excl service charge.
overall, would come back again for the boat noodles and try others. like the claypot vermicelli. and will try again to see if the service improves. won't mind if the food tasted not as good but the service/waiting time not really that good either. hope this feedback comes as constructive...
