After reading all the reviews, I was very excited about our visit to Tangra on Sunday for dinner! The service was courteous and attentive. Ordering was made simple using an IPad per table, that also had pictures to go along with dish names and descriptions. All the positive highlights of the place unfortunately stopped there for us.
We ordered spicy pan fried veg momos, veg chilli garlic Hakka noodles and paneer kasundi (dry). The momos skin was rubbery and couldn’t tear it off easily with each bite. The stuffing inside was wayyy hotter than the outside, confirming my suspicion that it was not prepared freshly but simply reheated. The noodles weren’t too oily or salty, but the noodles seems to clump together and didn’t offer any bite. Also lacked any flavour and was only warm. The paneer kasundi dish was paneer cubes in mustard sauce - this I’d rate a 6/10 because the sauce tasted really good, but the paneer cubes were following the general theme of being stale and reheated. Unsurprisingly, a neighbouring table had similar complaints about their food.
I felt disappointed since I was really excited about a place service Indian-Chinese food! However it was clear the food wasn’t upto the mark and we left mid-way. Came home to some digestive issues :/ thankfully they resolved...

Read moreI recently visited this Indian Chinese restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and they were always happy to answer any questions I had. The food was absolutely delicious, and I especially enjoyed the chicken momos, honey potato fries, and chicken manchurian. The ingredients were all fresh and high quality, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal.
The chicken momos were perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and a juicy and flavorful filling. I tried both the pan-fried and steamed versions, and both were excellent.
The honey potato fries were a unique and delicious twist on a classic dish. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the honey glaze was sweet and sticky.
The chicken manchurian was my favorite dish of the night. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the sauce was rich and savory.
