Yesterday I had a dinner with steak, this steak was actually very good, but the waitresses showed a very bored an unmotivated attitude. Because I was hungry and in the mood for a pizza I decided to give the restaurant a second chance and return today to their terrace. This was an absolute waste of time. After ordering a pizza and a beer I first had to wait more than 20 minutes for the beer to arrive. When after another 25 minutes of waiting I asked what happened to my pizza the lady looked very annoyed and went inside to check, returning to declare that it would take 20 more minutes, if that was OK... No, it was not. How hard can it be to prepare and serve a simple pizza? More than 1 hour is simply unacceptable so I left. The management really needs to improve a few things, especially educate the staff how to be friendly and customer orientated, better and faster service, and no tolerance for the present arrogant attitude. Speranza means hope... perhaps the name was selected on purpose, hoping that guests would accept such behaviour. For the moment my advice is: if you're hungry think twice before you visit Speranza. Better continue your walk and visit one of the many other nice and much friendlier...
Read moreWeird experience. Waiter was clueless. Food average.
The waiter couldn’t tell the grapes in the locals wine on the wine menu - only 8-10 red wines all together btw - or if any of them was a good pairing to the our tenderloin/rib eye that we was about to order. Weird part is that he looked offended by us asking - in his mind it seemed like it was totally irrelevant what wine we had. Went for a local named pretty familiar as “Cabernet Sauvignon”…
Waited 45 minutes for the food. The filetto was medium, not rare as ordered. The Rib-eyed roll was cold. The kids pizza came 15 minutes later than that. Which seemed totally normal for the waiter.
One of the pizzas was soaked in corn, the other with olives, otherwise totally ok.
Spent another ten minutes trying to get the waiters attention to ask for the bill. When he passed 50 cm from our table the second time without even looking at us when we clearly tried to get his attention we stood up and went to the bar to pay. Then he came in seconds.
We thought we were visiting a restaurant. Their prices were also in the high end in Trencin. But this was really not good, and pretty far off the standard you would expect in...
Read moreIt has been a long time since we had a meal so bad. First we ordered "home made lemonade" (really should have left then) it arrived without ice 26c outside, tasted like bad tap water had been used with some cheap flavouring in this case ginger. Then we ordered pumpkin soup, was, ok eatable. Then the disaster of the main, Cananoli, that, we were told was not cooked from frozen but kept chilled (probally been in fridge several days, topping was well done and inside cold. I had basic penne pasta with tomatoes and cheese, did not hardly eat any, clearly made with the cheapest ingredients. Top this all off with twrrible 90s dance music playing loudly. Absolutely killed the days spirits andreally spoiled the day. Terrible place, avoid at all costs and dont fall for the clearly fake...
