Felix — Restaurant in Bovec

During a recent visit to Felix, a well-known burger joint in Bovec, I had a mixed experience. The service was impressively fast, but the staff's impatience was hard to ignore. Plates were grabbed over our heads, creating a rushed and uncomfortable atmosphere. Additionally, the waiters barely communicated with us, making the experience feel impersonal.

On a positive note, when one of us dropped a fork, the waiter quickly brought a new set of cutlery without being asked. This showed a level of attentiveness that was appreciated. However, they missed an important opportunity by not asking if we liked our food, which would have been a good chance to gather feedback and address any concerns.

The burgers were disappointingly salty, masking any other flavors. Additionally, the vegan burger patty was nearly raw in the middle, which was quite off-putting.

While the staff's quick response to the dropped fork was a nice touch, the overall experience needs improvement. Better communication, a more thoughtful service approach, and properly prepared food could make Felix a much better...

We had a regular burger (250 g, 11€), a vegetarian burger (115 g, 9€+2,5 for a very small portion of french fries) and a salad (3,9€), plus beer. The waitress wass awful, she made us wait for ordering till she had SERVED all the other people including the ones who came after us. She "forgot" our water twice and she didn't give us an extra fork when she saw that one of ours had fallen down. She didn't even bring us olive oil, but some "pumkin oil" whereas on the other tables there was olive oil. The veg burger was half the size of the beef burger (including the bread, rucola, tomatoes, etc.). The beef burger was nothing special, honestly the veg one tasted better. The salad had some rotten leaves. French fries were like a garment, no real food and I ended up hungry. Still, the worst part was...

So I am on my last night of a two week trip through Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia. Been thinking about the best and worst dinners from the trip. This place hands down ranks as not just the worst of the trip but one of the worst I’ve had in my life. Maybe the new guy cooked this burger and it was just an off night, but the burger we had was barely edible it was cooked so much. I am from the US so maybe I am more picky but there is no way anyone would eat the burger I had and say it was acceptable. The service was great and nice waiter, but dear lord did the cook let that patty burn before serving it. Might have been a fluke but this was my experience, I feel bad having to write this because they seem like nice people, but I’m telling you that burger was on the grille since yesterday....
