Wok & Roll Celje — Restaurant in Celje

Came here because of their name... Was pleasantly surprised. This is actually a Vietnamese restaurant, run by Vietnamese and I simply HAD to taste that Pho Ga vietnamese chicken soup. It was Perfect. Rich with flavour, plenty of it too, chicken was good, breast parts only, veggies plentiful and tasty. Mildly spicy, made just perfect so it didn't need any hot peppers or soy sauce or any other "additive". Highly recommend. The only thing is, the place is small, so I suggest you make a reservation. The Pho soup is well worth it. My wife tried Pho Bo. Also excellent.

REVISITED AFTER 1 YEAR... Again, delighted. Pho is a standard, a measurement for any Vietmanese reataurant. If the Pho is good, the rest of the restaurant's food is good too. And it was excellent, too. This time we tried also some Vietnamese sweet treats and were pleasantly surprised. I tried "coconut puding with mango". A fresh, "different" taste and surprising texture, not at all too sweet and very fruity. Very refreshing on a hot day. If I could give them 6 stars I'd want to give them 7. See you...

If you want real authentic food with the sounds of the forest and chirping birds soothing you as you eat, I cannot recommend this place enough. I've tried "asian" food both in Celje and Ljubljana, and honestly, I have not found this level of authenticity nor care for the food anywhere around. Maybe Folk Food in the Netherlands with only the husband and wife working inside the smallest kitchen, but the food was made with utmost care and soul. Take my word and order anything, you will not be disappointed!!!

And most definitely, try their dessert. Will not harm a diabetic nor the extreme...

I came here a year ago on exchange with school, we were here for two weeks. This restaurant was right next to our hostel. I'm Asian myself and prefer to eat Asian culinary so when i found out this restaurant was right next to our hostel I was really relieved. The staff are so sweet, the lady that ran the shop whenever we decided to eat here was always so nice to us and I had a bit of a conversation with her.
