Verace — Restaurant in Upravna Enota Ljubljana

The food was good, the dough was a bit to chewy for a high end napolitan pizza place, but otherwise the ingredients were perfect and the crust-to-topping ratio was also great (not too much crust). The service was lacking on the other hand. There were three waiters and when we arrived there were only 4 tables with guests (inside and outside), so the restaurant looked basically empty. It took 5 minutes before we even got our menu (a task that takes a waiter 15 seconds) it then took 10 minutes before he came back for our order and another 25 minutes before we got our food. When we got our food i imediately ordered the desert (because i didnt want to go through the whole waiting busines again, and the waiter said he "will bring it when we finish". After we finished ofcourse no desert came and after another 10 minutes i went to the countert to remind the waiter about our desert order. He obviously forgot, as we had to wait another 10 minutes before we got it. The waiters were friendly otherwise, but...

Verace has really good pizzas. And I mean really good, in this town, this is probably the best pizza.

A a couple of months ago they changed their entire service staff. Before the change, service staff was horrible. I usually don't criticize waiters, because I know how tough their job is, but waiters at Verace2 were really something else. Since the staff change, this has been corrected, so you can expect prompt and professional service. The new service staff is good.

Pizzas, that's the thing that makes me come to Verace2 at least once per week. Even when the service was beyond horrible, I went there for a pizza every once in a while. Now, that service is good, I go there at least once per week.

Pizzas are Neapolitan style, their crust is really special, soft and fluffy, ingredients are of respectable quality, not the cheapest garbage, and this makes really tasty pizzas.

They run out of black olives. How could this happen to pizza restaurant. The staff very unwelcoming - we waited at the table for first interaction with waiter for 20 min, i was very close to stand up and leave. The waiter came to the neighbour table but forgot to stop by at ours - we had to call her. Pizza was good and delicious. Instead of cannoli desert which they also run out i ate tiramisu. It was delicious. The waiter never came to our table to ask if we need something extra or if everything is good, they didn't offer anything extra like they didn't want to sell more. Bottom line - next time i would definitely consider to go into this restaurant on this location. Staff is awful. I'm very sensitive to customer service that's why i...
